Hey guys, kinda new to DIS and was hoping to get your opinion a trip to WDW.

So it may seem kinda silly, but I'm trying to plan my first trip to WDW without my parents. This is because I wanted to take my girlfriend there for her first visit and show her why I love it so much. And I plan for it to be a very special vacation and our first real vacation together.

Buuuuuuut the problem is I will be 17 at the time of the trip. Luckily, my girlfriend will be in college and able to go on her own schedule, but I'm not as fortunate...

So, if you can, tell me what you think. Is this a possibility or have you ever done this? Are there any tips I should know or ways I can bring this up to my parents?

I really wanted to do this for us because I know it would be the best week of my life. Any advice or opinions help, and thank you guys so much! Have a magical day!

Doooo it! Haha I went to WDW without my parents for the first time last January. I took my girlfriend there and we spent a week in Disney. It was awesome you should really try and make it happen. I've been to WDW 20 times with my family but this last time with my GF was special. I would just tell your parents that your GF has never been there and wants to go. If your parents are huge WDW fans, they should understand. A great time to go is around Christmas. We were both still on winter break when we went. Plus went January 3rd-10th and all the Christmas decorations and festivities were still going on so it's not like you would have to miss Xmas or New Years at home. I would start looking for deals now on hotels too. When we went there were some good deals on Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans. Let me know if you have any questions!
