I've searched through some DIS articles, and the rest of Google, but information under Covid times isn't as easy to come by. Our good friends live in Florida and aren't renewing their Annual Passes this summer. We're DVC members, thus subject to Fl resident rates if they ever go on sale again. It seems that if you haven't used/activated your AP then you can transfer it to people in your Friends and Family list, that's us! So they could renew, transfer, we own, then we could have full ownership? Or are they forever under their control? Since we signed up for DVC in September we've been dying to snag an annual pass, would this work?

Since it is a RENEWAL, it is not actually a "new and unused" AP.
In that case, it may not be possible for it to be transferred to another party.
