I think it's far more likely that people *can't* just take off an hour or two in the middle of the day to watch a podcast. I think it's great that you can, but I think you're likely in the minority here. 400 people on livestream may seem like a lot, but I bet there's a MUCH larger number of folks who have to watch/listen delayed.Just because you (or anyone else who may make a similar statement) works on Tuesdays doesn't mean everyone is in the same position.
A decent amount of people work weekends and a lot of people have flexible jobs where they can watch even if they are working. I used to work M-F now My days off are typically Sunday and Tuesday so i'm exited to be in the group that can watch it live now.
There is a difference between "delayed" and pre-recorded. With a pre-recorded show, things can be edited and re-arranged. Not so with something that is maybe a few seconds delayed, or viewed after the fact. I think the Podcast crew are more relaxed and more "themselves" when it's pre-recorded (and thus more hilarious) because they know if something really off happens or is said, it can always be edited out. When it's live, they have to be way more careful what they say or do. I definitely prefer the pre-recorded ones. This is really a moot question. All the shows are (pre)recorded. The real question is, "What do you think of getting to 'peek' into the recording session with a live stream?" The only thing that will disappear is the sudo-live interaction in chat. (And that is why we have Wednesday Night Chat).
