What do you get in a Concierge room?

Hi -- just got back from Poly and BC, and stayed in regular rooms. Am interested in the Concierge for next time. Can someone explain what are the benefits for staying there -- is it just the food? When is food available? I saw people eating Sushi at the Poly and when I inquired where they got it, they said it was at the Concierge lounge.
Are the rooms larger in those buildings? Just curious.
Do the villas also offer concierge?
Thanks!

Paula--

We stayed at the Poly concierge 2 years ago and are staying again in Feb. The rooms are the same, but you do get a fridge which is great to keep the water, pop, fruit, sandwiches, etc. that you get from the concierge lounge.

Breakfast is served with rolls, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and the greatest coffee. I know there is information (maybe on Tikiman's site) that gives you a run down of what is served. There is always some sort of snack and drinks available. Little sandwiches at lunch and a rotating dishes on the different nights of the week. Desserts and cordials in the evening. As I said there is more information about the specifics somewhere, just not in my head.;)

We were able to use a stroller the whole week, which was great, as well as grabbing snacks on the go. The concierge made a few reservations for us, but I did most of it. I have read of people allowing them to do all of their PS and have been very pleased.

We loved our stay. I'm sure there is a lot more that I'm leaving out, but we really felt it was worth it. This next stay, that will be even more true since we got such a great AP rate. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask and I'll see what I can do!

AP stands for annual passholder. AP rate means the special deals annual passholders get for rooms. They are called codes. There are also codes for the general public to use. Look at

mousesavers.com

for the current codes available.

Paula,

We've stayed on concierge level at the YC on six different visits. The rooms are just like the regulars with a few perks: bath robes, lighted make up mirror. But the food and the personal attention are why we use it. THere is always food available and lots of choices - you can fix a plate and take it back to your room, or eat in the lounge. Even when they are in between meals there is always fruit our and beverages. We got all the bottled water we wanted, and sodas, and wine. The CM's were extremely helpful in preplanning and in special surprises that I requested in advance (we go each year for DS's b-day). They were also able to get us a window table at Bistro de Paris on 20 minutes notice and on a Saturday night!!!!! Yes, it does cost more but if you eat the food then it saves on buying burgers in the parks and it is much healther stuff. I always take some ziplocs and use them to store cookies and finger sandwiches for snacks later at the park.

Hope this helps!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
