I've actually had two that I just loved and 2 that where given to me that I will be passing along in November!
My favorite that was group related was on the WDW resort bus on our way back to POR, a mother was on there with a child probably about 18 months/2 yo and she was just throwing a fit. You could tell the parents where beyond flustered and it was the end of a very long day. The mother and father kept apologizing to everyone and anyone. One of the mothers turned to her and said "Oh we all have NEVER been thru this before, you are officially the first family to ever have a child throw a fit on Disney bus." We all of course got it and started laughing and relating our stories of children throwing fits at some point in the trip the whole way back to the resort. When they stepped off of the bus, the father stood up, Thanked everyone on the bus and said "This is why we vacation at WDW the Guest are Outstanding." I saw them a few days later and the mother said that that officially took the 'stress' out of the rest of the trip, because she knew she had a sisterhood someplace that had been thru the same thing.
My favorite I personally got to do, was at MGM in the smoking area by Indiana Jones. There was a young couple standing there having a cigeratte trying to figure out what to do with there last 3 hours in the park. I very politely butted into there conversation and asked had they ever been to MGM before, they said No, so I proceeded to plan the rest of there night for them, and thru in Fastpass for RNR coaster, that we had not been able to use do to the ride breaking down. Including insisting that they see, Beauty and the Beast, which my husband loved so much he sat thru it twice. and Fanastamic, we saw them as we were leaving MGM and they Thanked me several times for helping them have a great evening. The gentleman said I would have never thought to sit thru Beauty and the Beast and it was great!
My favorites that where given to me by Castmembers:
My children and I where sitting waiting for the Star and Motorcade parade on the stairs at the ABC theater(?) and a wonderful castmember walked up and told us to sit on this imaginary line, little did we realize that we would be right in the heart of the action, with nothing between us and the parade, It was great.
My next one came at Epcot for the Illuminations, I walked up and asked a castmember if where we were thinking of sitting was a good seating area, he started to laugh and said only the best! It was like right at the Future World/World Showcase bridge. We sat about 10/20 feet from him. It was like an hour before Illuminations, he came over to us and asked us about our lanyard pins, and I said honestly we know nothing about them. I told him that I had been afraid to trade all day, because everytime I went to trade a castmember would say, oh I don't think you want to trade that one and I was like why? So, he totally explained the whole thing, down to how to tell which are lanyard series pins and which are not and how to tell the difference and even the mystery pin thing. He was a huge Disney fan who worked there to support his habit. The time flew by, we learned something and I finally knew which pins to trade and trade for, I ended up with a Seven dwarfs Doc pin, thanks to this wonderful Castmember.
Those are the 2 I'm passing along the next time I go. I have found the best way to get some Pixie Dust at WDW is to remember it is the most wonderful place in the world and be nice to EVERYONE and It truly comes back to you! I've started living this in my everyday life and it is amazing how much Pixie Dust I have found outside of WDW!
Sorry for such a long post, but this is my favorite postings! I could read these all day!
