what do you do with your LGMMH?

Lime Green is the color for the Disboards, it's how we try to indentify each other in the parks. :) I don't have the paint chips anymore, I actually have a little foam keychain that I wear hanging from my lanyard with my AP pouch. :) He was a couple bucks at DCA but they have them at DL too. :)

Oh that's kinda cool. So we get the paint chip write our screen names on them and wear them as pins maybe?

kinda neat idea. I think I will do that.

This is what mine looks like. I printed my screen name on a clear label and stuck it in the middle of the paint sample and then laminated it. I attach it to my purse when I'm in the parks.:thumbsup2

I used mine to make a countdown calendar. Lots of fun. We circled the Mickey Heads as each day passed. I am starting another one soon for our DL trip since I have so many leftover still. We raided like 3 Home Depots.

Yup, that's what I did at first, I wore mine in my lanyard with my AP. I also had 3x5 photo laminates that I got at Target, I used those too. Worked great! Then you can punch holes in them and use them for luggage tags. :)

For those with no Home Depot:

Here is a Printable Sheet of Lime Green Mickey Heads

Do you mean you have a LGMH foam keychain? Cool!

Yup, it's a Lime Green foam Mickey Head keychain that I got at DCA. I love it!!! I want more for my regular keys, I only use the LG one for my lanyard.

Do you remember where in DCA you got it? We'll be there in May and I'd like to take a look...... Other colors are cool too (shhhh.... don't say that out loud!). I know my son would love one, and my nephews, and my sister, and...... Well ME!!

We grab a whole bunch of them and peel the backs off. Then we use them on our countsown chart. When we run out of Mickey's (and the chart is full) we know the cab is coming in the morning!!!

Is there a special method to peeling them off, or is it pretty simple?

That's sooo awesome! I love it! How long did it take you to take the backings off all the Mickey Heads?

Ok.....I'm missing the point! Why LIME GREEN?

I have a Home Depot close by. Two of them in fact. If anyone wants the real deal and can't find them I'd be happy to mail them.

But why LIME GREEN?

I got it at the first store to the left as you walk in. The one with clothes not toys, they were in a little bucket by the cash register. They had them in DL too. Less than $2 each. I think I'm getting some more this trip too, I'm going to put one on my keychain and get a couple for the kids' backpacks. :)

Lime green is the color for the Disboards, I don't know why but it is.

I glued two of the Mickey heads together. I wrote my sign on name on one side and put a Mickey sticker on the back of it. I laminated it with clear packing tape. I hole punched it and put a ball chain on it. I have it on my back pack.

It's just been the DIS's official color for a long time. Just one of those traditions.

A traditonal color? I did't know that! How would a new person know that?

Cheeky Cheeky...........

I'm going LIME GREEN!

Look fror Dopey's MIL in the park Apr 23 thru Apr 27 :woohoo:

I have been known to stare at people in DL wearing lime green wondering if they are dis'ers, but if I see the LGMMH I will say hi!

I'm new to this - where in Home Depot can these be found? Can someone post a pic of theirs?

Thanks!

They are in the paint chip aisle...the Disney Color paint chips.

We are using them for my DD welcome bags for her wedding at DL next year. Everytime my husband goes to Home Depot he snatches a bunch of them.

I had no idea there was such a huge following! I will have to show mine off when we go for her planning trip in July!

Soak them in water, and they will peel off easily.

Thanks! I soaked them in a cake pan, like 6 at a time. They had to soak 3-5 minutes. Then I had to lay them out to dry for a day. So, it took a long time to make, but it was lots of fun. I just put on some Disney music and went to work!

Here is the post that explains the lime green...it's in the Welcome to the Dis forum.

Lime green has become the "official" color of the DIS. Many times DISers wear lime green ribbons so that other DISers can recognize them. The DISers who originated the idea, did so to make sure it was an unusal color that would stand out. It's a way to get to meet other DISers.

I put what I feel is the main reason in bold. :)
