What do you do with your backpack when you go on rides or attractions? Do you leave it with the stroller (rented)? Do you bring it with you? I would love to leave it with the stroller and carry the camera/camcorder with us. :confused3 What are your thoughts?

It rides with us on just about everything but Soarin'... where I just put it in front of me and a CM sets it off to the side for pick-up after we "land."

It depends on what's in it. I wouldn't leave my cameras or wallet at the stroller, but I would leave a backpack with clothing, food and drinks, sunscreen, etc. In other words, I wouldn't leave anything valuable.

I know at local amusement parks here for rollar coasters they will let you keep your backpack on the platform you come out on so you can pick it up when the ride is over, do they allow this on most rides at Disney?

Most water type rides they don't though, not sure if Disney is the same but I'm betting they are.

I don't put anything valuable-irreplaceable in our backpack. Just food and sunblock, etc. and we leave it on the seat of the rental stroller. We take the camera bag w/us and try not to buy stuff that we would have to leave in the stroller. I have seen cameras, purses, etc. left hanging or sitting on top of the umbrella of strollers  before while people ride rides which is not a smart idea:sad2:
We have never had any problems:)

No. Not that I know of. You can take it on with you if you want, but you can't really leave it probably because it is so busy and it would hold up the lines a lot. At Dollywood you can also leave your stuff with the ride attendant I have noticed, but not DW.

I would be very careful leaving open food or drinks setting around....as we have all seen this week (outside of the Swan), there are some real "fruits" in WDW too. Don't let your guard down....you never know what some people will do for a good laugh! I always at least hide my open drink/food if I must leave it unattended.

I don't believe you can leave a backpack on the platform for any ride except Soarin. On most Disney rides you don't exit at the same point you entered. We always just take our backpack on the ride with us as the others have mentioned.

I hide our waters also. We find keeping them in the backpack keeps them cooler and the bottles don't leech plastic into the water as bad so you don't have that yucky taste:thumbsup2

Depending on the attraction my DW or I put it between our legs or on our back (except Soarin and Dinonsaur that I can remember).

Goofy Barnstormers has boxes to leave your stuff...thats the only one I can remember off the top of my head...other than soar'in

You have to basicaly keep your backpack on your person at all times. We always travel light. We carry a Patagonia sling. It's easy to handle and carry. It makes a long hot day carrying a heavy back pack. Big question: Do you really need all that stuff?

We carry a camera, one cell phone, ID's, a credit card, cash, resort cards, sunscreen, sunglasses and rain ponchos (if there is a slight chance of rain), change for pressed pennies and a some otc meds in case we need tums, etc. That's about it. We only took camcorder when our little ones were young. Our digital camera has the capacity for a short video also.

we left our backpack in the stroller while we went on rides (all that was inside was diapers, wipes, bandaids, hand sanitizer, change of clothes for the kids, and tylenol.
we carried our camera and my dh had our cc, tickets, money, and id's in his wallet.

We take a backpack with stuff for the kids, change of clothes, diapers, sunscreen, sippy cup etc. and leave it on the stroller while on rides, no problems thus far (knocking wood). I have a little bag for my digital camera that I can wear around my waist and I wear that and put in my id, money, credit card, ticket and of course the camera. Nothing in the backpack is irreplaceable.
