I was wondering what do you guys do with your passport in the waterparks? also cash?

im planning to take with me 2 passports and about 200 dollars when i vist a waterpark because of things we will also be doing. how do you keep them safe?

do you trust the lockers?

and how do your locker keys come? can you pin them to yourself?

We just put them in the lockers provided and have never had any problems in 14 years. The keys at BB and TL are on a rubber band type bracelet that can then go around your wrist.

I avoid taking my passport out entirely while on holiday - it's just too much hassle if anything happened to it.

Are you just taking it for ID? Alternatives are to either get a picture driving license or if that's not an option, taking a photocopy of your passport should be fine too.

Failing that, pretty sure you'd be fine keeping it in one of the Disney Water Park lockers. They are always busy and generally always in view of lots of people so would be obvious if someone tried to break in to it. Not sure what non-Disney parks are like, I imagine the Seaworld one would be similarly secure (name escapes me for moment) but not sure what Wet n Wild would be like.

I don't take a passport to the waterparks. ANything big goes into a locker. Any little things I need on me ..... well the details are in my tag :lmao:

We never take passports to waterparks - can't think why they would be needed.

Also we've never really had need to use the lockers - we don't take much cash or valuables - what we do take we just leave in a bag under one of the chairs we're using. In several trips we've never had any issues at all.

I love the waterproof neck thingies! I always take one to the waterparks with me, put my driving licence, money watch etc in it and I've never had a problem with it- it might not look so attractive, but I don't care my stuff stays nice and dry :goodvibes

You know, that tag is so funny. I remember posting on that thread and I was so tired I had no business trying to string a sentence together. I couldn't remember words and was trying to type a post. It never occurred to me that I might be tagged :lmao: I have one of the container style ones and also the plastic wallet style pouch, which I got from Semi Chem for 99p on their little travel stand.

The containers are more compact and you could fit a phone, some cigarettes and a lighter (if you so wish), KTTW card and/or some cash. I did remove the cord and replace it with a wide strap lanyard though as the cords chafe on sun kissed skin, especially when you are wet.

Well it could have been a worse tag,, I've probably said some pretty embarrasing things on here at one time or another, but I've escaped the tag fairy so far!

Yeah mine is one of those compact containers and yep ahem I have managed to fit ciggies and a lighter in there as well

What do you need the passport for? Is there no alternative to taking it?

thanks guys. i just wanted it for id, so i guess i can just take drivers licence. its a bit safer! and put my cash in lockers if the keys come with a wrist band

thanks again guys. your all amazing

They are the keys on the rubber wristband strap. :thumbsup2

Whew, that's good! I didn't want to look like I was promoting ways to sustain the habit ..... :rotfl:

I used my pouch on my lanyard that had my kttw card in it when i still smoked. Could get about 4 cigs plus a lighter in that. never tested it at a water park but in the rain it seemed to stay dry.

Just some friendly advice from a local who has worked Orlando theme parks. There really isn't a need to bring your passport to any of the local theme parks. A copy of it or even your drivers licence will suffice and will be readily accepted. :)

If you dont mind the stigma that seems to come with them, you can get bumbags that have a waterproof pocket in them on ebay. They are a bit more secure than the waterproof lanyard things and less chance of decapitating yourself :)

The one I have is quite subtle, it is grey and extremely thin (unlike some out there that look like you have the backend of a Reneult Megane strapped to you! :)

I have a bum bag too, it's a Sea World one, I usually cover mine up slightly with my tee shirt! :rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl: I'm now referring to mine as my Megane! :lmao:
