Just wondering what everyone else does for parking when flying out of Philadelphia. Our flight is at 6:50 am. Do you use airport parking, offsite parking, hotel with parking?
Offsite all the way -- Ampco (sp?) Express or Sunpark. Both have websites with coupons, both are close and have 24-hr. shuttles, Ampco has indoor and outdoor parking.
Does Ampco shuttle you from there site? Some of these offsite lots use your car and we just won't have room for that. Where do I find a coupon? Thanks!
We are staying at the Holiday Inn near the airport. They have a park and fly package for $119 (June 2006) that allows you to leave your car for up to 10 days free and has an airport shuttle. We found that price to be a little more than paying for 8 days of parking, plus we have an early morning flight (we are about 3 1/2 hours away).
We use Kinney. They shuttle us back and forth in their own van.
You can get coupons just about anywhere. In the mail, thru ValPak, that is where we got ours. In the travel section for the Sunday Philadelphia Inquirer. Sometimes on their websites.
My Mother in Law lives in Doylestown and DH thinks she can drive us and pick us up. It is still 54 miles but I guess if we sleep there we would have to leve by 4am to get there by about 5. Is there traffic at this time of the morning? DH figures free is always better. Any thoughts? Our flight is at 6:50 so how far in advance do we need to get there?

They have a van to transport you to and from the airport. Always have good service from them. If you go to there web site you can print off a coupon from there. ampcoexpress.com
We are using Colonial Airport Parking. I got a coupon off their website for 7.50 a day with taxes included. They also provide a shuttle and are about 2 miles south of the airport. I have never used them before, so hopefully we will be ok.
If you give sunpark your email they will email you with specials. We just got 2 for 1 valet parking vouchers and bought a bunch that have no expiration date. When they have this special, the cost ends up being under $4 per day.
Of course, I do think Kinney has better service when you are going to the airport. Coming back, Sunpark usually picks us up very quickly.
Just a word of warning about Ampco. We have used them for years with no problem. We flew in July and I had printed a coupon from their website 2 weeks before we left. When we presented the coupon while leaving they refused to honor it. The coupon stated 7.95 per day with an expiration date in November. They claimed to have just raised their rates to 9.95 per day and tried to say that was why the coupon was no good. We had them call a manager up and they finally gave us the price on the coupon but it was a huge hassle. My parents who have flown several times over the summer have had similar problems with them. Besides the pricing problem they have been good. They are very fast getting you to and from the airport. We are flying to Disney in September and will probably park here again but we will be prepared to fight over the price if need be.
Ampco's latest coupon is for $1 a day off and I did notice that they went up to $9.95 per day. They are getting a little expensive but in all the trips we have used them, they were very prompt in picking us up at airport.
I understand Pacifico is a great place to leave you're car they even clean it etc.. They are a very Big dealership in Phila and they will take you And pick you up! Quite few people I know use them and have no problems and love the fact you're car is loked in a fenced area and gets washed while there!
