What do you do with backpacks & cameras while on rides if you can't take them on?

I just read somewhere that you can't take any kind of backpacks onto some of the bigger rides (which makes sense)...but what do you do about backpacks if you've got camera equipment, wallets etc. Is it just for larger things like tower of terror & space mountain...which 3 yr old dd wont be riding anyway. Do people leave them in their strollers? Just when I thought I had it all together for the trip next week~hee hee!

You can take backpacks on all the rides. For some of the wilder rides, you can put them down by your feet.

don't ever leave camera equipment or anything else in a stroller unless you don't mind losing it

let me give you an idea of what I was carrying in one fanny pack - one preview normal sixed camera wrapped in bubble paper and kept in a ziplock bag, three extra rolls of film - one camcorder trv 33 pretty small camcorder wrapped in bubble paper and in a ziplock bag, two large Brita water bottles, a mister, three extra mini dv tapes, wallet, all passes/room keys, three ponchos, key to room safe, and 30 page print out of different rides printed on 8 x 11 paper... all in one fanny pack.

and there was no problem getting on any ride, space mountain, splash mountain, thunder mountain, etc etc... the new Mission Space has a storage place for your stuff ... kali river rapids has a center storage place in the ride...space mountains cars are pewny but having all that stuff and my hat and sunglasses stashed was no problem...

aas far as I can tell as long as your stuff is fairly consolidated...not in 4 bags... then you should have no problem unless you have just a huge camera/camcorder outfit.

you can take backpacks on the ride and stuff...just keep them strapped over your legs

We always take our bag with our camera and camcorder with us on all of the rides. We usually leave our other bag with drinks, snacks for our 4 yo, etc in the stroller. We've never had anything taken so far. :D :D :D

We always carry a backpack at Disney. We've never had a problem taking it on any ride. Including some of the coasters and TOT. You do need to make sure you have it secured to your feet or legs on some rides though.

You may be thinking of Universal-- there are some rides there that they don't allow bags on-- in those instances they give you a limited use free locker.
