What do you do while scrapping?

O.K., truth be told, I want to reach 300 posts by the end of the day...but my question is what do you do while scrapping? I was thinking about putting a TV in my scrap room but it would probably distract me. I do have a radio that I can get NBC on so I can listen to Law and Order when it is on. And I have a walkman that I listen to (stuck on the soundtrack from the Festival of the Lion King right now). What does everyone else do?

I usually turn on the tv while scrapping, just for the noise factor. But sometimes I have music from Live365 playing on my computer - especially when I'm really having WDW withdrawal I put on one of the Disney music "stations".

I usually have the TV on or the kids are watching it... just for background noise.

I have a TV/VCR (small one) in our toy room/arts and crafts room. I sometimes put a movie on in there. (we don't have cable in there or an antena at this point) If i have the TV on, its mostly for background noise. Usually a Disney movie too!;) We also have a radio/cd player in there. So sometimes i'll listen to the radio or a cd. Just depends on what kind of mood I'm in.

The TV works for me! I get a lot of scrapping done in the summer because everything is reruns and nothing else is good on!

Same here...LOL that is why i'm getting so many pages done this summer!!

I listen to my 80's CD's. If no one is home or the kids are watching TV downstairs I turn it up loud and sing, too:D :D :D

I also eat very cherry Jelly Bellies.:Pinkbounc

I also scrap and listen to the T.V. It's usually a Lifetime movie or some home improvement show-nothing too deep or I'd get nothing done!:p :p :p

My scrapping room is a very large closet, so I go there to escape. I find my self humming why I scrap. This relaxes me.

I will usually sit at the kitchen table with DD(11) and we have the TV on in the living room. She loves scrapping. This is how we spend some of our quality time. If I am in the mood to scrap and the kids want to swim, I will set up everything in the screen house outside. I get to do what I enjoy and the kids swim with their friends while I keep an eye on them.

TV on - but my back is to it - I usually just have it on CNN (I know I am a dork)

Or I have a cd in my computer playing a few tunes :)

I chase the baby around the room while matting photos at the same time. however, i wouldn't recommend this, as sometimes things get turned upside down, go missing, or just end up terribly crooked. But, other than that, music works...:)

I tend to find myself doing the same time. Biggest problem with that is that she has learned how to climb. If she would just sit in the chair next to me and watch that would be fine but no she wants to touch everything. LOL!!! My ideal thing would be to crop while watching TV. Well rather just having it on for the background noise like everyone else. I am just glad to get a moment to look at my supplies and pictures. LOL!!!

Music if I'm alone in my crop cottage. Otherwise, it's Playhouse Disney in the background while the girls are running around screaming like banshees. LOL :)

SoapNet - can't miss 'All My Children' for an hour a night at my scrap table in our bedroom.

Hey I look at it this way I get atleast two pages done or atleast set up and I get to watch my favorite soap at the same time.

My vote is for the tv as background noise. I usually watch the travel channel and dreqam about where to go next as I scrap!

If the kids have the tv on in the kitchen, I'll leave that as background noise but it tends to be distracting. My choice is to pop CDs in the system son gave me for Christmas for my scrap/craft room.

I think it was so I wouldn't turn my big system in the living room up load enough to hear in the other part of the house!

Or if one of my scrap buddies is over I'm in the scrap room, she'll be at the kitchen table (separated by a very short hall - a couple of steps) and we chat back and forth! This only works when we are alone in the house!

What helped me while I worked on my WDW album was to watch "House of Mouse" on the Disney channel! For my late night scrap-a-thons, I would sometimes pop in a tape I recorded off the travel channel. It's called "Walt Disney World, Behind the Scenes" or something like that. Really gets the Disney juices flowing!

HunnyPots, that is so funny! I was going to say House of Mouse also! That is DS's favorite show and we watch it together-- it's my soundtrack for scrapping...and cleaning, talking on the phone, etc.!!
