Quick question. We are arriving at WDW on Sunday. We have reservation for OKW for Sunday, then switching over to VWL from MOnday on through the end of the week. I would really like to stay at VWL for the entire trip, but MS says there are no rooms available at VWL , and that we should keep trying. My question is, does the availability really change on a day to day basis? Can all of the rooms really be booked? We are staying in a studio but, I'd even be willing to spend the extra points for a 1 or 2 bedroom, just so I don't have to switch resorts but apparantly there isn't anything available. When should I try to call MS again?

The dynamics of WDW reservations is that there is constant change- even at the last minute.

I'd suggest calling as often as possible (even still tonight until MS closes) tomorrow. You never know when someone will cancel. Disney receives thousands of reservation requests daily and if there is a points cancellation at this point, it would be available to CRO for a cash reservation to a non-member. I'd call several times tomorrow- you never know what will happen.

At arrival- I'd even have the front desk at OKW check before you register there. The worst that can happen is for them to say "No Availability".

Good Luck ...and have a great trip!

Doc,

Thank you for your advice. I just called MS and still, no luck with a VWL studio. My other question is this, I noticed that when I called MS this afternoon, they put me on hold while they called over to VWL. This time, they didn't put me on hold or call over to the Wilderness Lodge, they just said, that there still wasn't any sutdios available. Now, how do they know this without calling? Should I have asked them to please call over to the Wilderness Lodge for me? Not sure how this works.

Thanks

It could be that the CM you talked to had just checked on availability at VWL a few minutes before your call. My experience has been that the CM's really do try to meet every request I have made.

Like Doc said, keep on calling! It's toll free and you have nothing to lose by asking.

Good luck!

I'd say you have a really good chance of a room opening up at WLV for your trip... The availability at the resorts literally changes minute to minute... Have you been put on the waitlist? If not, you definitely should... I really think especially for that time of year (September?) that a room will open....
