What do YOU do when you see a LGMMH?

I picked up ours at Home Depot a couple weeks ago and dh inquired as to what they were all about.

When I explained, he asked "So what do you do when you see someone with one?"

I stopped to think, and couldnt come up with anything! Wave? "Hi, Im Mom of three, nice to meet you?"

What does one typically do so I can be prepared and not look like an idiot?

I'm gonna get going on making my LGMMH. I'm at DL so often, I hope I see lots and lots of DISfriends.
See...something else new to do at DL. It never gets boring! I LOVE IT!!!

I've never seen anyone with one.....seriously, in my 14 trips last year NO ONE had a LGMH except for me.

I put a LGMHPC tag on my stroller and on our backpack, and on 3 or 4 trips to DL (I'm not sure if I had them for our first trip), they have yet to be noticed. I was so bummed!

Of course, that might have something to do with DH typically wearing the backpack, maybe folks are afraid to approach a big furry guy wearing an "Alex2kMommy" tag?

I got my keychain made! Nothing special, just bought a cute beaded keychain from the dollar store and stuck several LGMHs on it.

Has anyone ever made lime green mickey ears? That would be so cute! You could put your Dis name on them. You'd be easy to spot as a Dis'er!

I'm not a bit shy - last time I saw a LGMH at WDW I yelled out "Yo DIS'er!! We met TheWesterbergs that way and saw them at rope drop several mornings - they were great!

I also left notes on two room doors at POP that had LGMH's on the windows; it's fun!

yeah but thats wdw...alot of people I hear wear them there...DL is a different story...Im hoping now more people will start showing them off...cause I definitely would stop and say hi

Well i have got to find one these and put them on my fanny back. . I ran into. . . I think the name is princessbelle something yesterday evening in NOS area. . I was behind her and her SO (dh or bf) and asked if she was a DISer! We both had our firsts, our first time seeing someone from the board at the park! I had my daughter with me. . I just do not go to Home depot. . . i'm a lowes person. . it's just cleaner and more organized to me. . anyway. . one day I will get one, but I can now say I've seen someone!

You ran into Prettyprincessbelle and her DBF!!!! Yay! Finally someone spotted a LGMH! She was the one who gave me my LGMH's! I did not see a single one last weekend, nor did anyone approach me!!!

You know, I was walking around all Friday and Saturday AM with my LGMH's on, but I didn't see ANYONE with any Lime Green whatsoever, so by the time it hit Saturday PM and today, I just took them off :/.

My family and I were in line at Mr. Toads and my dd spotted the LGMMH and said, "Mom!! Isnt that one of those thingys?"

I wasnt quite sure what to do...or say???? I ended up not saying anything and then proceeded to the carasoul where we spotted the same person again with the LGMMH. I looked at dh and said, "If I dont say something now, I never will."

I walked up to her and asked if she was a Disboard member and we exchanged names. It was rather pleasant.

Hi, Snow White, welcome!

LGMMH = Lime Green Mickey Mouse Heads. People who frequent these boards put them on their backpack, luggage, purses, etc. so that other people at the parks might see them and recognize a fellow DISer!

Home Depot, the hardware store chain here in the States, carries the Disney line of interior paint, and their paint chip samples are in the shape of a Mickey Mouse head, mounted on a beige background. So sometimes we go to Home Depot on the pretense that we're painting our kids' rooms and pick up a few (the official color is "Alien Green" but there's dozens of colors and a couple other good greens). Then you can glue them together, laminate them, put your user name on them and write stuff like "I DIS... do you?" I strung some green and clear pony beads to use as a pull on my backpack, with my LGMMHs attached.

There's a thread around here from a couple weeks ago where people posted their pictures.
