Hello,
We plan on getting to port canaveral about 11:30 or so...
We want to get on the ship right away.
But im wondering.....what are some idea's of things to do while the ship is
in port????

Eat, swim, eat, eat some more, book reservations for spa and Palo's, then eat some more.

Just kidding. We eat, swim, explore the ship and book all of our reservations. Then at 4:15 p.m. you do the lifeboat drill. Then the sail away party begins. Plenty to do!

Eat, Drink, swim, check out the cabin, get reservations for Palo and the Spa, Kid's registration, check out the ship , etc. - Mike

lneeley - We do the same things!!!! LOL - Didn't see your post until I submitted mine. - Mike

We always head to Topsider's/Beach Blanket for the welcome aboard lunch then take our carry-ons to our room, walk out on our balcony and enjoy that for a few minutes, then take a walk around the ship. By then our suitcases are usually delivered and I get us un-packed and organized. By then it's usually time for the lifeboat drill and we always have early seating so we come back to the room after that to get ready, and watch us leave port from our balcony.

We had lunch at Parrot Cay, then headed up and registered the kids for the kids club. It was then after 1:30 (which is when you can get into your cabin), so we checked out our cabin (luggage wasn't there yet), and changed into swimsuits. As we were leaving for the pool, our luggage started to arrive. The kids enjoyed a relatively uncrowded Mickey Pool while we each had a Rum drink. I left my DH in charge of swimming kids and unpacked. Then headed back up to sit next to the pool.

By then, it was time to head for the cabin for the safety drill. Once that was over, we dropped off lifejackets, and went up to the sailaway party.

so the pools are open when you board? are the pools fresh or sea water?

The pools are fresh water & wonderful.

We do what everyone else does & wander around the ship, go to Beach Blanket Buffet, get set in our rooms & get the kids set at the clubs.

We love the sailaway party!!!

I plan to get to the port at 10:30 AM. After receiving KTTW cards, I will decide what time to make reservations for Palo, while waiting to board. I've heard boarding begins sometime between 11:45 AM and 12:30 PM. Depending on what time we board, I may go to Parrot Cay for embarkment buffet lunch or go to Rockin' Bar D to get Palo ressies. After lunch, we'll go see if our cabin's ready. Then check out the Mickey pool with DS. It will be 4:00 PM (aka lifeboat drill time) before you know it. After that probably unpack and get ready for early dinner. Then after dinner is the show.

I think the pools are open at 12:00 PM on embarkment day, aren't they?

If we get on the Magic, we make our spa and Palo reservations..then we go have lunch, sometimes we jump in the hot tub first, and grab a drink at the adult only bar.

If we get on the wonder first..definately lunch, then go to make the spa/palo reservations..then to the room to unpack, safety drill, sailaway party, spa for treatments, dinner and fun!
