What do you do when you are low on points?

Invite friends!!!!:earseek:  :o

I posted earlier about being a one bedroom snob and deciding to down grade to a studio for our trip next February because of a (hopefully temporary) point shortage.

Well, what did DH and I do over the weekend? We invited some friends down too!!! It was with the understanding that it would only be for 5 weeknights and in a studio.

Are we crazy?!!!

If ever I wished we could stay in a 2 bedroom, it would be now. It would be so nice to "show off" the luxurious 2 bedrooms. But oh well, discipline is definitely needed if I want to be able to afford (point-wise) a second trip in October 2005.

2 studios coming up.

Also look into a 1-time points rental from another member. You're going to get very friendly crowded into a studio.

Can you just imagine that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're use to the one bedrooms already. It's not a vacation if we're all living on top of each other!

I'm getting 2 separate studios, one of our family and one for our guests. It's a downgrade from what were use to but we want to "live within our means" pointwise.

Pay cash with AP codes ::yes::

Thanks for the suggestion. But we decided not to spend extra money on our prepaid accommodations. Btw, how much are the AP rates anyways?

If I ran low on points before my new add-on last month :p I would make a room-only reservation using a good Florida Resident Code...

This year not nearly as good as in recent history. We ended up using points for our AKL trip because the AP code was no better than the cost of our points.

Here is a good link to keep abreast of the codes:

We have our trips planned out for the next three years so it could be that we are always low on points (because we always have our next trip planned and don't have room for another trip) or it could be viewed that we are never low on points (because we always have our next trip planned). We probably really won't be low on points now until we retire.
