What do you do when Remy is down at early entry?

Seeking opinions from those who have been in this position: I noticed that both Remy and Rise were down during early entry this AM but were open by 9. We are planning to do Remy for Early Entry on Tuesday, and wont have genie+. Wondering if the ride is down when we get there at ETPE, do we wait it out? Or leave and do other rides and just accept the fact that we will have an 80+ minute wait later? Do the cast members give any guidance (ie, let you know how long they think it will be down?). Looking for real world experiences to help me figure out our strategy.
Thanks!

This happened to us in August and we decided to wait it out. Our risk paid off, but YMMV.
The other attractions are very far away and we had never ridden Remy before.
We waited maybe (not sure) 20-30 minutes, the cast members slowly walked the line back to the entrance in an organized way. We were able to ride it 3x in a row with minimal wait, regular line.

We were just a party of 2 adults, no kids with us. We have been to EPCOT many times before and plan on returning many times in the future. That may factor in to your decision.

As others have said the CMS don't always know and it's a gamble either way. I did it once EE and the posted wait was something like 50 mins, I was maybe 10 min. into EE when I got there. I waited the 50 mins and it went down, they told everyone to leave the line as they didn't know when it would be back up. I was able to ride it another day of that trip at night with maybe a 30 min. wait. If it were already down when I got there, I would move on and try later.

The CMs are not great at giving real or accurate info. - Not blaming them at all it just seems to be the Disney way and how I believe the company wants it.

I would wait it out. Over the summer we tried rope drop remy and they told us it was down...against my better judgment we went the other direction and heading towards Frozen...before they even let us walk towards Frozen it said remy was back up but by then we were in the front of the pack headed in the opposite direction. We decided this trip we were going to remy either way.

Last winter we had bad EE luck. Remy was down and we waited it out because we didn’t have anything else pressing to do. Overall we probably waited an hour, which isn’t what we got up early for.
We had bad luck at MK too that year.
This year we had good EE luck, so who knows what will happen next.
