what do you do to get the 8 dollars off

do you have to sell this years points back to them,or do you just get it for buying over 50 points?

With new membership, you get $8 per point AND your points this year. If you want to give up this year's points, and start next year, you get $13 per point at Saratoga Springs. Minimum purchase 150 points. BUT, according the paperwork that I have from them (sent two weeks ago), that is based on the price of $101 per point, not $98 per point.
