What do you do to get ready for your trip to US/IOA?

I am interested in how all of you get ready for the trip to US/IOA?
How do you build up the excitement for your families?

This is our first trip there so I am really interest in ideas on building up the suspense and excitement. We are headed down June 6 .

I guess I would approach it the same way as getting ready to go to Disney. In my case this would mean hitting the websites and forums. Unfortunately I don't think there is a video/dvd for USO, as that would be great for the kids.

There are some good photos on a couple of the Universal/IOA sites that have definitely made me look forward to going. Have you taken a look at any of the sites?

I have taped several Travel Channel shows about Universal, so I will watch those - oh! & I have the IOA cd, I listen to that on the way there to get really pumped up!!

We also watch movies that go along with the rides:

Twister, ET, Jaws, MIB, Shrek, Spiderman, Dudley Do-Right, Cat in the Hat, Back to the Future, and the Mummy movies

My kids already watch a ton of Nickelodeon so that is already taken care of. In fact, I am a big Sponge Bob fan myself. My wife is a huge Disney fanatic and she was really apprehensive about our first USO trip, but that soon passed after we actually got in the parks. My family loves USO (Me 34, DW 33, DD9, DD6).

My son and I got most of our excitement from watching the commercials believe it or not. It's happening again as we keep seeing Shrek and The Mummy.

I also bought Kelly Monaghan's book about Universal and my son and I both read it which added to our excitement.

Yes, kelly monaghan's book is a MUST!

My son and I go for LOOOONG walks to get ready for the walking in the parks.

Watching Jaws, Shrek, MIB, Terminator, Jimmy Neutron, Back the Future and Twister doesn't hurt, either!
