What do you do the first day (half day)?

What do you do on your first (half) day?

  • Hit the parks, of course!

  • Relax at the resort...maybe swim.

  • Sight see and maybe grab din-din at a resort restaurant.

  • Drop some cash shopping at DTD.

  • Clubhop that evening at PI or Boardwalk.

We are arriving in the afternoon. Maybe 5-ish? What do you normally do that first evening?

I understand with our dreammaker pkg since we get length of stay passes, I may as well visit, I dont think I can contain my excitement - I'm thinking of going to Animal kingdom (we may get there by 2) but the lure of the castle may pull us over to MK - its an e-night, and i know leaving the airport at 6am there will be no way we'll be able to stay awake till 1am!!

So we've never been to AK, have no idea how to get there, or how long it will take, so I thought this may be a good alternative...

Well in April we went straight to AK and then DTD. THis time we going to the resort first then to DTD with stops at the other resorts to look at Christmas decorations. We will be hungry so off to Earl of Sandwich... then back to the resort and maybe a quick stroll through main st and then off to HDDR.

Downtown Disney is always our first afternoon/evening spot. Great restaurants, shopping. A laid back start to rest up from your travel day.

I would think about sticking close to the resort. Maybe getting something to eat and taking a look around the resort or a short swim. You could try to catch the fireworks. Getting a good night sleep so that you can hit the parks first thing in the a.m.

I know it's hard not to go to the parks the min. you get there. I found myself in the same boat in May.

Have a great trip.
