We have a trip planned for 10/4-10/8 and my kids are so excited to go camping at WDW! We have a 2 room tent and feel pretty prepared to tent camp. However, we live in south ga and it has rained here almost every afternoon all summer! I know that Oct is still rainy season and the end of hurricane season. So we are nervous about rain and getting drenched. We don't have alot of experience camping when it rains. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you for your help!!

What we always did was have plenty of cover. I rigged a 12x16 tarp over the top of our tent and then put up a regular 12x12 dinning fly on the front edge of that. So we ended up with an area 12x28 under cover. So even durring hard rain we could still cook on the picnic table under the cover. Make sure when you set you tarps up that they drain water well and do not allow water to collect and pool on the tarps. You also want them set up in a way as to not catch too much wind. I have seen may different type covers in use. The easy up covers or even the full 12x20 garage type covers. The campsites are set up well for quick drainage. We have been through some very bad storms and have had no damage or wet sleeping bags.
