Alright everyone, I know we are a group of selfless Disney planners, working hard to make sure our friends and family have a great time on our trips! :lmao: But what do you do for yourself? Particuarly, if you're celebrating *your* birthday in Disney, what do/would you do?

I'm asking because I'll be celebrating my birthday in Disney in August and I'm trying to come up with ways to make my birthday special. I'm traveling with DF, but I'm definitely the planner, so it makes it hard to plan special birthday surprises for myself! :rotfl:

I'm thinking of doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour and having dinner at Ohana... What would all of you do to celebrate your birthday in Disney? :goodvibes

I would definately treat myself to dinner at Victoria and Alberts or Blue Zoo.
I would also swim with the Dolphins!

A tour is a great idea! As a special treat I did the Backstage Safari one day and went solo to Cindy's for lunch. I loved Cindy's but was really sick that day so some of the magic was a bit lost on me- especially when I saw just how sick I really did look in the large photo they give you LOL!!

The tour was super super fun and a magical way to spend your day. There were two other birthdays on the tour with me so it must be a popular choice.

I am taking my niece on her first trip to the World and it just so happens our first day in the parks is my birthday, so here is my plan....

Head to MK in the morning, use my birthday gift card to buy ears for both of us and an autograph book. We will then head to CP for our breakfast with the characters (never been here so it is special). We will hang out in the parks and have a great day and then head to 1900 Park Fare for our character dinner (never been here either).

So we don't have anything too special, but i think it will be an awesome and memorable day since it will be the first day in the parks. :cloud9:

Happy early birthday, have fun planning, I am sure if will be a great day!

Dh's b-day is Oct 5 and mine is the 16, this year we are planning on going tandem parasailing:thumbsup2

I could possibly down there for my B-Day as well. I am unsure what I will do. I will start looking into it when my plans set in stone.

I'm celebrating my birthday with my 16 year old daughter this summer at WDW:cool1: The day of my birthday we're going to try to visit all 4 parks. I'm planning on having dinner at the California Grill at sunset, then going to the MK until closing for the evening EMH :)

I hear ya...I'm the planner in our family........The Keys to the Kingdom Tour is great....I recommend it for your birthday or any other time......my birthday is also in August and we've been at disney a quite a few time for it....since it works out with my kids school & sports schedules.....we've had dinner at Chef Mickeys, Calf Grill and a few other places...my kids love having everyone sing happy birthday to me.....me no so much.....once hubby had balloons and a cake from the BW bakery delivered to the room......We'll be down again this August but haven't planned anything yet..........Enjoy your day whatever you decide to do

I'm treating myself to a dolphin swim at Discovery Cove for my birthday. I have to do it the day before since I have to be in disney to get my fun card on my birthday.

we're flying down on my birthday, checking in at the contemporary then going to the magic kingdom for the afternoon then dinner at the california grill planned so that we'll be there for wishes!

I think I will have tea with my mom and my daughters at the Grand Floridian. That sounds like fun just thinking about it! And maybe some other things we don't normally stop to do. You all have given some great answers, maybe we'll join you.

What a great idea! I went parasailing at Virginia Beach for my birthday one year, and it was really fun! :yay:

March 24 is by birthday and we are planning to be at Epcot that day. We are going to have lunch at the Coral Reef and I am going to Japan to pick a pearl (or maybe two) and something pretty to set it in! Not sure about dinner plans yet, but I would really like to go to Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville!!

I went for my birthday last year. My birthday's at 2 in the morning, so I celebrated both the day of and the day before. Started it off with dinner the night before at Cinderella's Royal Table. Then watched the fireworks and Spectro. The next day we spent at Magic Kingdom until they closed for the Pirates and Princess Party. We had dinner at Crystal Palace. Left there and went to MGM for Fantasmic! Came back to WL and had a mini-party in the room, with a cake from Boardwalk Bakery. It was fun. I got a cupcake at CRT, and a cupcake and a card signed by all the characters at CP, plus confetti and streamer. Our waitress made everyone in our section sing "Happy Birthday" to me. Nice, but so embarassing! :rotfl:

I'm probably going to be back there for my birthday again this year. I didn't want to do it again, but that may be all our schedule allows. I have no clue what to do this time. I'd like to do something different, just don't know what. :confused3

Have fun, and happy planning! :wizard:

I'll be there for Mother's Day this year, so I am planning some cool things to do with the whole family. Normally we only do the standard park things (rides, parades, night time shows). I think what I want to do is play mini golf, rent a sea raycer, and maybe play bus roulette (just get on the first bus that comes from wherever you are) so we can see a new resort or 2. The Kim Possible experience sounds cool too, but I am hesitant to go into the park and get sidetracked by all of the wonderful rides:goodvibes

Of course, this is in case DH has missed my not-so-subtle hints about wanting to go to the spa for a massage!

I go every year to celebrate my birthday & 2008 was the best birthday at the World to date. I did the Mike Scopa 4 Parks in 1 Day Challenge including dinner at Crystal Palace & ending the night at the Comedy Warehouse by taking a pic with my favorite cast member, Lisa Glaze. So I spent my birthday hitting all 4 parks & running around like a mad man. I wouldn't change a thing & this year my birthday will be celebrated with my best friend Samantha & her DBF Matt on their first trip. It's gonna be a blast!

That sounds like so much fun! What a great way to celebrate your birthday! :yay:

I'll be happy celebrating my birthday with DH and kids. So whatever they want to do, I'll be happy too. :)

Have a nice day everyone. :)
