What do you do for Autographs in the World?

I bought a photo album that has two 4x6 spaces on each page and a spot for comments, then I bought a package of index cards. I am hoping to get the characters to sign the blank side of the index card and put in one of the slots and take a picture of my kids with that character for the bottom slot.

I don't think my then 14 year old would want his own autograph book and didn't really want to lug three autograph books around the parks, so this way, I will make a group book for all three of them and only have to carry the index cards.

I don't know if it will work out, this is our first trip. I guess we will see in a month's time.

I have heard of other's doing this, using different colored papers for the signatures then placing them in the photo album with the picture printed beside it....

I print a bunch of the autograph pages from the wonderful Disigners on this board and just take them in a small photo album. The characters love seeing pics of themselves to sign. It provides a great piece for interaction.

i usually make an autograph book so we can then put the pages in a scrapbook when we did the cruise we had them sign a plate an a pillow case

I've done the usual Disney autograph book. We also bought a photo mat that we had the characters sign so we could put a pic of my DD and frame it..well guess what.. it's been almost a year and still haven't framed it :lmao: I love the hat and the tote idea. I am not very crafty at all so forgive me if it sounds silly, but where did you get the lilttle Mickey heads and are they glued on the hat? or sewn? I do not own a sewing machine...confused3

they're hand drawn on using fabric markers...i don't sew either :thumbsup2

I'm planning on doing something similar to you. I'm gonna do a "make your own" Mickey Ear hat with a white base and white ears and have the characters sign it with bright colored sharpies. I hope it works...and I hope it doesn't run...I wonder what I'd need to do about that. I can't really wash an Ear hat. Any have suggestions?

I would love to do a quilt! I might do that for a cruise.

Use markers that are for fabric rather than sharpies...i used sharpies last year in Disneyland and when the hat got wet on Splash Mountain all the ink ran and ruined the hat....that's my only suggestion....

I have all the autographs on plain white paper and am going to go a collage. I just have to decide how to adhere the sheets because I think the ink will smear if I use Mod Podge.

well now that would be pretty cool to see too! If you do do this please post pictures so we can all see it!!

I have photos of Disney autograph quilts that other people have made. Kept them for referrence if I end up trying to make one as well.

I'll post them next week for you if you'd like. This weekend will be crazy busy.

It's taken me a week to strip wallpaper board, plaster & prep, prime and re-paint DD's bedroom. Today I'm gonna nag my husband to get the new baseboard installed in her room *today* as our son's new bed arrives tomorrow! :scared1: We need to move her old bed out of DS' room into DD's room so the new bed can go in DS' room. But can't do that until the baseboard goes in DD's room! What a mouthful - hope that made sense. :rotfl:

On a previous WDW trip we got a Disney character encyclopedia and had each of the characters sign on their own page.

Sounds like you're doing quite the reno!

I have no intention of sewing one lol...I'm not crafty like that ha ha ha... though I swear I typed this response the other day and now I don't see it anywhere! weird!

I wonder do they just bring the squares all cut out to size to have the characters sign and then put it all together into a quilt once they get home? I would think it would be tedious to bring a full quilt around with you all day long lol....
