What non-Disney things does your family collect? Our family is a family of collectors from way back. My DH collects AC Gillbert Erector sets and other construction toys, My DD collects the usual beanies and snowbabies, and I collect carousels, Easter postcards, campaign buttons and basically Christmas. it makes traveling fun because we can always find something for our collections on vacations and trips to the flea markets. What do you collect?:bounce: :bounce:

I don't collect them anymore, but I have an extensive collection of Cat's Meow pieces. Most of them are sets, but quite a few are of places we have been and I love, such as Mackinac Island.

I don't collect them anymore because they are dust collectors and I have run out of room for them.

My sister collects Fenton glass. Now that is a huge collection.
I am always afraid my DS's might go over and accidentally break something.

I collect lighthouses - mostly the Cat's Meow ones and also the Spoontique ones. I try to find ones from everyone lighthouse I visit (which is a lot!!)

I also collect postcards.

I have an extensive collection of Precious Moments figurines - but I haven't bought any new ones for almost 18 years.

I collect Cats Meow Houses too - running out of room for them!! I also collect Snow Babies and Beanies and have a very old collection of miniature pitchers.

Would possibly be a better question!
Although I have to admit I've stopped collecting as much as I did in my younger years...

I have:
a stamp collection, a coin collection, a baseball cap collection, a 'dolls in traditional dress' collection... all of which are pretty much discontinued (although I will probably pick up a new baseball cap in WDW!)

I currently still collect:
Catatonia stuff, beanies, pin badges (although I don't have *too* many WDW ones, mainly charity ones from here in the UK), erm.. I'm sure there are others!

LOL... I'm just generally a 'horder' (sp?) I guess!
Cya,
Gaspode

I collect snowmen, computer books, and odd little bud vases.

Shotglasses....basically every place you go has them, and they're only a few bucks. Easy to keep track of the places I've been. My friends even pick them up for me when they travel.

I have a Precious Moments collection although I don't buy very many anymore other than additions to the Nativity. I probably have 400-500 and no more room to put them. The only ones not displayed are Sugar Town. DH and I have started collecting Disney snowglobes. DD loves Wizard of Oz items and Snow Babies (especially Oz themed). She also has a large Barbie collection (almost all but Oz are in storage boxes because she has a small room). DS #3 has baseball pictures that are autographed, LOTR items, and Star Wars figurines. DS #1 & #2 who are no longer at home have bb cards, comic books, and figures of both in their homes. DH seems to collect golf clubs and bags (he has patriotic Mickey and a Donald Duck golf bags).

Okay.......NOT Disney:
Turtles, cookbooks, magnets and keyrings (the last two thanks to the DIS exchanges ;)

DH collects flying pigs
DD collects penguins

Hmmm, non Disney things I collect... very little-- spoons and shot glasses... oh, and pins... both Disney and non Disney.

"Non Disney" collectibles, hmmmm...... Precious Moments, Wizard of Oz, Beanie Bears, Dust, Stickers, Cookie Jars and alot of other things -- oh and most recently I started collecting "country-ish" items

DH collects toys! All sorts, old and new -- our apartment looks like the Toys R Us in Times Square (seriously)

Oh, and I also collect anything with frogs, and Strawberry Shortcake (old and new)

my DW collects bells [she has about 300 of them].
She also collects all and anything Betty Boop contected.

I collect First Day of Issue comemorative stamps and Star Trek items

ditto what damo said...my wife says I sit around and collect dust.

I collect snowbabies, dolphins, coffee mugs, and the occasional shot glass.

I think I just started collecting Yugioh cards ;)

My DS collects then and I just was talked into "buying" 8 of his more "rare" cards because he needed the money... but my collection will be short lived... I'm planning to sell the whole lot on e-bay :p

Besides anything disney, or dust, ;) I tend to pick up something I like from places I've been.
One collection that I'm just getting started and don't know how well it'll go is perfume bottles. I bought a set of perfume bottles for Christmas. They are the ones that look like something Jasmine in Alladin would have used. I would love to have more of them.

I collect Swarovski Crystal,Lladro & Nao figurines,Calico Kittens and I've even got a few pieces of Winnie The Pooh figurines.I also collect a lot of dust in my curio cabinet too!;)

I collect salt and pepper shakers. Also have a collection from Harmony Kingdom which started about 5 years ago.
