I've never before thought I had a collection. Until a friend commented on my wall of playbills saying the I had a nice collection. I have 12 playbills from musicals hanging on my wall. About 5 of them are signed by the cast. I absolutely love them.
I collect Playbills, What do you collect?

dept 56 :cloud9:, lenox ornaments:love:, Tink/Disney:cheer2:...and the dh would say diamonds:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Mr. Potato Head

Allergic to dust as a kid, so mom threw out all my plush toys. I was left with a sad Mr. Potato Head.

Have added on over the years, and let kids play with them when they come over. All the neighborhood kids like to play at our house, since I have them all sorted in different bins by piece type: body, eyes, hats, feet, etc. I probably have 1500-1800 pieces???

Since I am due with our first kid in April, the collection will no longer be mine. They will become her toys--when age appropriate. So I no longer have to accept the responsibility for the high-spud count in our house.

Thank goodness The Chief Tater has been in 3 movies---really helped get new fun pieces. :rotfl:

as a teen, i collected barbie dolls. now, my only collection is Christmas ornaments. any time i go on a trip, i buy a Christmas ornament.

I Love Lucy dolls - they're the size of Barbie.

Mickey the Sorcerer items.

Carousel horses.

DH collects baseball cards & bobbleheads.

I have a collection of collections

Main collection is music boxes
which some where snow globes- so then people thought I collected those and have a collection of those. One had a wolf on it so now I have a collection of those. One had a dragon on it so now I have wizards, dragons and gargoyles. Snowmen the same thing.

I collect gingerbread people! Anything with gingerbreadmen on it. This time of year I see alot of items. My kitchen is gingerbread themed.

My DH would agree, that I collect diamonds!!:rotfl: ;)

Disney pin, Christmas ornaments....Disney and Hallmark, key chains from places I travel,
recipes, Disney antenna balls, anything with Merryweather on it.

DH collects Donald Duck things and tools.

Smurfs! I have about 150 from the 80's.

I also have a really nice collection of fat, but I'm more than willing to give it away....:lmao:

live music. Concerts of my favorite bands and especially shows that I have been to. Mostly in audio but I've branched out into some video. I am now trying to see if I can find vinyl bootlegs, those are pretty hard to find around here.

Mr. Potato Head

Me too!!! I just think he's cute. I started collecting different ones after I saw a fellow teacher's small collection in her room. I can't wait to go back to Disney in April to get some Disney pieces.

DH collects any thing and everything Star Trek. He also owes just about every video game console ever made. His collection will fund my retirement!

:thumbsup2 Great thread!

I collect tea pots, some of which are displayed on the space above my kitchen cabinets.

I also collect vintage tin cans (Oreo, Borax, Sun Maid Raisins ... To name a few) and vintage tin advertising signs (Campbell's Soup, Coca-Cola, Blue Moon stockings).

I also have a small collection of Ginny dolls (Does anyone remember her?) and her accessories (Bed, desk, vanity table, wardrobe, Sweet Shoppe).

At Christmastime, I bring out my Santa collection and my gingerbread people and houses collection.

:thumbsup2 I collect gingerbread people, too! My kitchen isn't gingerbread-themed (Great idea, though!), but at Christmastime one whole section of my counter (And a glass-fronted cabinet) is devoted to the gingerbread people and houses.

Shot glasses from places I visit. Also we collect a new Christmas Ornament each year, usually related to something we did or where we went.
