What do you collect?

Disney pins, magnets, mugs and postcards...I'm trying to collect them from all the states we've been in (they have to be mailed) and have many from other countries that friends and families have sent.

neato! I just thought about how cool that would be to send a postcard from my vacation destination to my house so it'll be there when I get there!
I think I may start doing that

Disney mugs and pins from each resort we stay at. Disney Jim Shore figures, Disney older small porcelain figures made in Japan, some Disney porcelain dolls and misc other Disney. What can I say....Disney makes me happy

live music. lots and lots of live music. both audio and video. Too much that I have now taken a break until I listen to more of it. Problem is that I get in a groove and don't branch out too much until I am thoroughly sick of that artist.

Current obsessions are Jack Johnson, Gov't Mule and Steely Dan. The obsession that never goes away is Dave Matthews (Band, solo & friends) , Warren Haynes, & Grateful Dead.

I collect snowglobes. The movers broke a few during our last move and I am still devastated! Most of my collection is of Disney snowglobes, but I'll collect any that interest me and are unique.

I stopped when I got to 50 pieces. When I would travel, I'd take photos of the collection in a small photo album so that if I spotted a new piece, I could compare it to what I already owned, so as to not buy a duplicate. Of course, other things were in the album, like pics of my cats. When we traveled to Russia to adopt DD, we had pics of her in the album. Our driver asked to look at the photo album and when he got to the Wedgwood pics, he asked, "And what museum are these in?"

I looked at the pics with new eyes, thinking of what I'd spent on them over the years and compared that to what he was making for a living. (He had an advanced degree, but the best he could do was to get occasional work as a driver for tourists.) Life was so hard there. I was embarrassed to say they were my collection and not some museum's. From his perspective, no one person would have ever been able to afford such things. It was very humbling.

But speaking of Disney, on my forthcoming visit I do plan to collect squished pennies with hotels on them, to put them in a (map-themed) display. It was something I only thought of the last day of our last visit as I was departing the Contemporary with my Contemporary penny.

Are there in-park location squish pennies, too? I might do those, too.

i collect lighthouses and anything mickey-from stuffed animals to pics ,figurines,cups,etc.. i like the beanie mickeys at the parks,i have all the ride ones and animal ones now i'm going to start the different country ones.. i also have a big collection of disney christmas ornaments.

I love that site! Unfortunately, I can't have everything. I especially like the Haunted Portraits; Gothic Beauty magazine did an article about them some issues back.

I also noticed that the Alchemy Gothic jewelry section has things that I recently saw in another catalog...for $20-$30 cheaper! I think I know where I'll be ordering that stuff!

@Philagoofy: Anything that strikes my fancy, which means that my family is going to become bankrupt because of me real soon. Also thanks for the welcome, I'll be sure to have fun next year at Disney World. ^.^ I also collect a few other things, images that I can find online like my avatar, I don't know why, it just started recently.
