Hi,
I have to have coffee to function. I read somewhere that All star movies has no coffee pot in room?? I don't know if I want to go to the cafeteria every morning. I guess I could take one in my carry on?

How much is coffee at the parks. Can that count as a snack credit??

Thanks for any ideas... :)) jody

WDW food courts have Nescafe, which I hear from coffee drinkers is terrible. You might want to check out the budget board and see if there's a coffee maker swap going on when you're there.

You could always ship one down to yourself at the resort ahead of time...

Growing up, my mom ALWAYS took a coffee maker with her on vacation.

We buy the resort mugs when we get there and then fill them up whenever we want during our trip. My Dh would take the first shower in the morning and then go to the food court to get our coffee & our boys morning drinks. :coffee:

We always bring coffee with us. It makes a HUGE difference in how the day
starts! We stay at DVC resorts, so there is always a coffee maker already
there. Enjoy! :goodvibes :surfweb:

All WDW coffee is Nescafe, with the exception of a few places that brew their own coffee. It is disgusting. But that is the price you pay for having Nescafe sponsor The Land in Epcot.

I don't drink it, it sucks.

You could pack a 4 cup coffee maker. They are inexpensive and small (just buy one and leave it in the box). And bring your own coffee and filters.

And I think that coffee would count as a snack credit.

Have a great trip!

When is Disney going to get with the times and get Starbucks as a sponsor like everyone else?

I always buy a cup of mocha cappuccino the night before , then reheat it in the morning...If I have no microwave...I'll drink it cold. I hate coffee made in mr coffee type machines...it's basically colored water as far as I'm concerned.

We were at AllStar Mov in June and bought the refillable mugs. We would throw clothes on, go get our coffee, then head back to the room to clean up and get ready for the day. We would usually pack one of the mugs in our backpack and when we returned from a park, we would fill with beverage of choice before heading back to room.

If you like true coffee...a little sugar, a little creamer...the coffee at WDW is awful. However, when we stayed at ASMo, I got the refillable mug and mixed the coffee, liquid creamer and hot chocolate together. It wasn't the best thing I've ever had, but it was pretty decent.

But I agree with the others who suggested bringing a 4 cup pot with you. I think Walgreen's has them for around $10, probably Walmart as well. And the normal filters will work, you just have to scrunch them down a little.

I've stayed one night onsite. The coffee was terrible.

Offsite, we always go through Dunkin' Donuts :-)

We get the refilable mugs and I run down and get breakfast and drinks from the food court in the morning while my wife gets ready. It is not the most enjoyable part of our trip for me, but it alows us to sleep just a bit longer by eating as we get ready in the room.

P.S. Yes the coffee is terrible, but if you are a dedicated enough drinker as the two of us are, you deal with it.

We drank the skank in the refillable mugs from The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Not good. I'm bringing a maker on my next trip. It's a grind and brew. My neighbors will LOVE me.

The best coffee we had during out stay was breakfast at Fresh in the Dolphin. It's Starbucks coffee and it was very good. The rest of the coffee is almost unbearable. Even the coffee from the coffee stands that appear to be "gourmet" is barely drinkable.

I've heard that the coffee from Kona in the Poly is excellent. For our next trip I'm going to bring some bold Italian roast to brew in room. Once you get used to good, strong coffee it's really a letdown to start your day with anything else.

:thumbsup2

 No Coffee!!!! :scared1: Not only would I not be fun to be around the headaches would be unbearable.:headache: Real coffee addict here.:rolleyes1 I have broken down and used those coffee bags that look like tea bags when I have been in desperate situations. It is better than the with draw headaches.:sad2:

Are there coffee makers in the rooms at Pop Century? I would have no problem bringing some of my own Dunkin Donuts coffee and brew it daily. We plan to eat breakfast in the room most mornings (bringing cereal and milk and requesting a fridge for our room, paying the small $10 a night charge for it). Just quicker getting out of the room and to the parks for extra magic hours with a 1 year old and a 3 year old!

No coffee maker in the room, and they don't have one to rent (like the fridge).

You can bring one with, or just deal with the fake coffee. With some 'ammendments' it's really not bad.

Really, I love a good cup of coffee, but when we're on vacation, I'm willing to put up with 'differences' that really don't mean that much in the great scheme of things.

To us, coffee isn't 'part the magic' at Disney for us :) Just give me a shot 'o caffiene to get me started before we head off to the magic!

I bring a box of the Folgers coffee bags. They're like tea bags but with coffee. The cup is brewed in a minute and a half, it tastes good (much better than Disney's) and your whole room doesn't end up smelling like coffee.:thumbsup2
