Hi Everyone,

Our first trip to WDW is in 14 days!!

I'm still wondering what to bring to carry our stuff around the parks, I just want one bag, it'll be myself, dh and our 2 girls (ages 3.5 & 6). I don't want to carry more than one bag.

What does everyone bring with them in the parks? What are your must-haves?

What do you carry everything in?

TIA for your replys!

Things I carry/must haves - tickets, water, wallet, phone, more water, snacks

When our kids were really little we carried a backpack, but the last time we went 1 fanny pack worked great for 4 of us. It is uglier than sin and makes my fat butt look even worse!!!! However, it keeps your hands free and comfortable. Last trip, dh bought each kiddo one at Target with water bottles on the side.

Inside I always make giant cookies (made with the Pampered Chef large scoop) before we go. I keep them frozen until we leave. These taste wonderful (I am a fantastic cookie maker-hence the fat butt!) and we don't have to stop to wait in lines for snacks. This year we are on the dining plan, but I am still going to take cookies for the morning and save the Disney snack for the afternoon.

I also add: sunscreen, Kleenex, tiny camera, room keys, (used to add film, but now we have digital) your itinerary with ADR seating confirmation numbers, Migraine medicine.

I used to include water bottles, but evidently you can get free ice water anywhere in the park, so we might skip that this time.

I think we can get by with just one this year instead of two like last year. Also, I usually fold up my itinerary and keep it in my pants pocket.

I hope this gets you started thinking!:cool1:

My post isn't clear. I meant we took 2 fanny packs last year, but plan to take just one this year!

For us, (older kids) I have just the essentials. Cash, room key, camera & phones (one for each of us) & suntan lotion. This year I'll also be packing a small bottle of purel as I've had enough of the 9yo being sick his first few days in Disney. This plus a couple autograph books fit fine in a thin over the shoulder bag I'm comfortable with (zippered interior pocket for stuff that can not be lost) . Use whatever you've found works best for you in the past.

With younger ones you'll need more creature comforts to make it through the day, or even a few hours...

I know from experience what a lifesaver a stroller can be. You might want to rent a double wide stroller that will help with the bag & tired feet that both children will experience. Two kids will fit fine. Great for storing the drink bottles & snacks as you head in & out of attractions, make sure anything of value (like a favorite blanket) comes in with you though as all strollers look alike and although rare, it could go missing.

Water, Crystal Light Packets, 100 calorie snack packs, $$$, KTTW cards, IDs, change of clothes for DD, camera, extra batteries, maps/ADR info, a small first aid kit, autograph books and pens, sunscreen and hand sanitizer hooked onto the stroller, and glowsticks if it's nighttime.

DH carrys a backpack around like it's a security blanket. So I stick him with the big stuff and carry the cash, KTTW Cards, IDs, and camera in my Baggalini wallet bag. We leave the backpack on the stroller when we go on rides and and I keep my purse with me.

We're trying to cut back for our upcoming trip - I used to bring a lot but I'm going to keep it to:
In my over the shoulder bag - tickets, room key, tissues, sunglasses, small sunblock, small antibacterial lotion, camera.
In small backpack - change of underwear and shorts for kids (in case of accident OR if they decide to play in the water fountains), maybe sweatshirts for kids, frozen water bottles.

We just went in December. I carried a backpack with me. It had suncreen, tickets, wallet, camera, cell phone, light jackets for kids, rain ponchos, a few snacks (but packed less each day) and my son's medical supplies. I also carried the "glow" necklaces I got at the dollar store.

There are a lot of suggestions on what to take into the park, but we found that is pretty much all we needed.

My kids each had a fanny pack and they carried their autograph books, markers, penny pressing coins, chapstick, and a small flashlight.

Must haves:

Place to hold tickets for easy accessability (Fast Trak)

Small ziploc baggie to place any electronics in for any water ride (learned this the hard way)

Those little packets of water flavorings...cuts the cost of dining on the go

Anti-bacterial wet-ones packets.

Have fun!!!!

:)

We pretty much carry the same stuff as all previous posters but we carry it in a good back pack that has a waist belt. We went to a mountaineering store and purchased one for about $149. Best purchase we made.

All the things those above mentioned but I too would highly suggest to put it in your budget to get a DBL Stroller, I didn't have to strain my back all day carrying my back pack, I just put it under DD's feet and took it with me on the rides. Also this is good as if it rains, you can wipe off the plastic strollers.. and not have to lug it on the transportation busses. Many told me it was a pain to do so we just opted to rent the stroller.

If you do it for the whole time you are there, it is much cheaper than going day by day.

OH, BIG PENS, it is easier for the characters to sign your autograph books

Pretty much what other posters have said, also Neosporin, a couple bandaids, large ziplock for camera and cell phone on water rides, autograph book and pens, rain ponchos (these fold up so tiny!). Also, on days we wore sneakers, we brough everyone an extra pair of socks - nice refresher midway through the day if it's hot!

I agree with everyone.
I use a backpack with a laminated little "green mickey" with all our reservations for the whole trip, hanging from the outside.
We always have a cell in a ziploc, extra pair of socks for wet feet/Disinfectant,wipes, small first aid kit, small washcloth (though I don't think you'll be HOT in Feb, atleast I don't think you will) ziploc, poncho, and lots of money on my KEY TO THE WORLD!

Have a FABULOUS time making memories with your family!!

Wow, thank you so much for the replys! I like the ziploc bag idea for the camera & cellphone and I forgot about rain ponchos. Do you buy those at the park?

I could be missing something, but camera, cell phone, wallet (with what's typically in there), room key, tickets, sunscreen stick, baby wipes, hand sanitizer and sunglasses for everyone (all in my purse). I used to bring a backback but I lightened my load.

I take a diaper bag and have diapers, wipes, change of clothes, changing pads for the baby.

I take snacks - 2 fruit cups, 2 granola bars, 2 other snacks. Crystal Lite packs in a ziplock bag. Camera, cellphone, KTTW card, but no cash - I charge everything to the room, Antibacterial handwash, 2 water bottles, sunglasses, trading pins.

When I no longer have a stroller to carry the load, I won't bring as much.

You don't have to carry water unless you want. Just go to any counter service and ask for a cup of water - it's free.

tie a bandanna to your backpack or fanny pack :flower3: then when u get to the parks tie it on your stroller so it looks different that the zillion others:woohoo:

Cheaper to buy them at the dollar store or walmart/target :)
