Ha I wish that would happen. There's a Timmie's at my college so either I get one on the way, or while I am there. I thought my habit would be broke once i quit smoking, but the coffee addiction stayed with me.

I live in Oakville, which is the Tim Horton's capital of Canada. There is one on just about every corner in town. There are corners where there is a regular Tim's restaurant on one side and a drive thru location on the other.

So avoidance is useless here.

Uhm, Markham hold's THAT honor..

within a 5 minute walk from my house there are 5 full service and 2 drive-thru only, plus 2 Gas Station outlets (also directly across the street from the full services)

There are actually 30 Tims within 10 kms of my home...
and 25 in all of Oakville :)

My hubby always complains that Canada in Epcot doesn't have a Tim Hortons coffee shop there :)

I'll second that one! I've always dreamed they'd open one up; I think they'd make a killing!

It makes me sad that I have yet to find a good coffee place in WDW!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That shows clear obsession.....just more proof that they do actually add some sort of addicting substance to the coffee.

Other - "A license to print money for horrible tasting coffee, nasty donuts and usually terrible customer service."

Oh, is that title too long? As you can see, we pretty much despise the obsession that Tim Horton's has become - not to mention that it litters our city up so badly, that my little 5 year old daughter picks up other people's cups in order to clean up from selfish adults who will stand in line or in drive thru lanes for ridiculous amounts of time to fuel their addiction, yet can't 2 seconds to find a trash can to throw the cups in.

We are glad that there isn't a Tim Horton's shop at the Canadian Pavillion because not every Canadian likes Tim Horton's - it would be the same thing as making the Canadian CMs wear fur coats and ear muffs because isn't all of Canada covered in snow?

We call it "The Mighty Tim"...OTR this morning and loved that Tops in Niagara Falls, NY now has a counter. I go for the tea, but DH loves his regular. :thumbsup2

We loved Timmies...so much so that when I figured out how much DH and I spent there I nearly threw up!!!
When I told DH we agreed that we would get a Timmies on the way to the rink for DD's hockey on the weekend only.
The money that we normally spent during the week we put towards our vacation. It was amazing how quickly it added up.
I make coffe at home now for during the week.

We try to do Timmies as a treat too - as in, hot chocolates if going to the Santa Claus parade, or a coffee before a long drive. Otherwise we make coffeee at home daily. I have to say that it's refreshing to me that Timmies is (IMO) a healthy fast food stop compared to McDonalds. I'd rather get an egg salad sandwich than a fried fish sandwich. and, no temptation of fries:laughing: .

Healthy doesn't apply to donuts though :rotfl: thank goodness we're not donut eaters :rotfl2:

I am a Dunkin addict from NJ - need 2 24 oz (XL) hits for pick-up every morning (including weekends).

When I am in Canada, I will go to Tim's but find it considerably less appealing than Dunkin coffee - in my opinion, it tastes 'thin', the XL size is too small, the lids are dysfunctional to open, and its hard to find Splenda at their locatons...(this being said, I would still rather have Tim's than Starbucks).

I'm sure these are blasphemous words for Tim's lovers in Canada - but, just to let you know - I'n not alone in my point of veiw ....Tim's US expansion is really struggling - many locations in New England closed (of course that is Dunkin's local turf)....and they have resorted to a deal which puts them in some US supermarkets - the captive audience strategy - seems to me you do that when you can't survive as a stand-alone store...

So, rather than missing Tim's in the US - if you are east of the Mississippi, there's a good chance you find a Dunkin nearby - try it, you just may be surprised!!

No.. thats a standard Tim's Stratagy... they actually promoted a business plan a few years back which would put a Tims counter on every major intersection in Toronto (whether that be in Gas stations, Supermarkets, or Mini-Drive Thru only locations.)

Dunkin's is better than Starbucks, but it is still a little to "Roast" for me...

I have to agree that Dunkins is a great coffee. And - yes I first tried it free as a Bzzz agent, but still - Nabobs Full City is excellent, that`s what I make at home most of the time. The new Nabob line focuses on environmental sustainability.

I do enjoy Starbucks at times but not every day it`s too strong for me.

My DD 2 calls it the "bagel store"
Momma doesnt drink coffee but we go for bagels post "banastics" aka gymnastics class every Thurs am..:rotfl:

Dunkin donuts cofee is okay. I prefer krispy kremes. But ultimately prefer tim hortons the best. However i agree with a previous poster in that it amazes me that people wait in drive through every morning for 10 minutes to buy coffee for like a buck 25. I actually buy the grains and brew tim hortons cofee at home myself. I actualy think it tastes better then the in store cofee. Oh and its not time hortons fault that people litter. There just happens to be so many people that go to hortons that you see more tim hortons litter then other places. Same can be said for mc donalds. Don't blame the place for bad behavior blame the people.

:lovestruc have you ever been to a krispy kreme store & watched the glazed donuts made & had one all hot & sugary?

Dh calls it Timmy's
I think usually say Tim Horton's.

I'm addicted to the steeped tea.

Timmy's. Although when I first moved up here I called it "Not Dunkin's".

actually i used to work there and found that there was too much glaze on the originals. So i made my own version whereby i made zebra stripes on the originals instead of a full coat.
