What do you buy for your trip?

I got a suggestion on here some time ago to use my points on a reward site to get an Amazon gift card and then use the gift card to buy things I will need for the trip. I'm just wondering what everyone buys for their trip that I wouldn't already have here at home.

The great thing about Amazon is that you can buy just about anything. I'm saving up Amazon gift cards to buy water shoes for our next trip since we'll be doing the water parks.

Other ideas:
grocery items like snacks or breakfast foods
sunscreen
cameras, SD cards, batteries
travel bag to carry in the parks
ponchos

Really, the possibilities are endless.

Clorox wipes, hand wipes, face wipes
snacks for the room or for when you're between meals (crackers, gummies, fruit strips, chips, cookies...etc)
clear makeup type travel bag to carry stuff in your bag so when you go through the bag checks you won't have to open every single thing in your purse or bag, and it helps keep it organized
mole skin, bandaids or new socks to keep from getting blisters
new pair of shoes or sandals
travel laundry soap

like mom0299 said....with Amazon the choices are endless :)

I love Amazon! However, I use my free giftcards (from SWVisa and Mypoints) mostly for dinners while we are down there. Landry's, Olive Garden for eating out, Subway, BK, Pizza Hut to take home or to the parks. I also get Target or Walmart cards to use down there for any food or things we forget to pack. And of course I get enough Disney cards to cover meals we'll eat there and parking.

How many snacks do people bring? It seems like with the suitcase limits that would be hard to stock up too much.

I bring a big stash of Extra Gum and Mio or the lemonade packets to dump into waterbottles. Also have to have antibacterial wipes for the planes, yuck!! Who knows who's touched or sneezed on my fold down tray!

ok this is what i usually buy before my trip
1. laundry soap
2. sun tan lotion
3. food ,snacks ect
4. headphones or ear buds hate using the ones the airlines have
thats about it for me we have got alot of things over the years and we do not buy much anymore

Kellia, has SW ever offered Disney gift cards? I just got my SW Visa and know they don't offer them now but I'm curious as to if they've ever offered them. I still haven't used my points, just don't know what I want to use it on. We probably won't ever fly SW just because we have to drive to the airport 2 hours away to catch a flight with them and the transfer flight from our local airport would negate any savings we'd get with SW.

I may check out their gift card listings again....I'd like to get something that was useful for our trip in October. We don't need dining cards, as we're on the dining plan. The gas cards they offer are only in $25.00 increments....so that's kind of inconvenient.

Sorry, I'm not sure. Dh and I just got ours in Feb. with the 50,000 points offer. Our SW airport is an hour away, which would have been fine for free tickets. But l:cool1:ast month I cashed out our points for 5 Airtran tickets to MCO and $250 in gift cards!!
