I've seen lots of great ideas out there!

For my stay at a studio I'm bringing an electric griddle:teeth:

Here's my...
"take with me list"
pancake mix
chicken spread
cheeze whiz
freezable ice pops
coffee/tea
sugar, mustard, salt, pepper
soup, cereal
laundry detergent
antibacterial wipes & soap
mac and cheese
oodles of noodles
PB & J

and my.......
"buy there list"
lunch meat
bread, bagels
eggs, butter
crackers
skim milk, soda, wine
maple syrup
veggies, fruit, yogurt
juice, juice boxes
bottles of water

Thanks for the ideas!:wave2:

I bring in addition to your list:

Microwave popcorn
Pringles snack packs
fruit snacks
granola bars
trail mix
those blue ice packs for when we go into the parks
extra sippy cups for ds

That's all I can think of right now.

You forgot onions, garlic and habanero hot sauce. And antacids. :cool2:

In the past, I tried to bring lots of stuff with me... then I got away from Goodings and really looked at the prices in Wal-Mart and Publix in Florida and realized -- hmmmm. Not very different from our local stores at all! So now, the only things I pack with me are (a) stuff we use on the road and (b) stuff I might need that very first night. I also bring stuff that, if I had to buy it, I would end up with way too much (like salt, spices, coffee filters, etc.) I also bring a nylon pot scrubber -- seems like the only thing they have to scrub a pot down there is a towel -- just doesn't work.

For our August trip, we will be staying at BCV the first night and "winging it" (i.e. won't buy our groceries until the next day when we relocate to BWV). So I will probably bring some snacks, water, juice, etc for the road and first night in the room, then stock up on everything the next day at the grocery store. I have been known in the past to bring frozen meats down (a big ham, some pork roasts, ground beef, a turkey, etc.) ... but I don't think I will this time!

I do usually bring my crock pot down, too. We also usually buy an 8-pack of the gatorade that comes already in tall 24 oz sports bottles and also bring extra Gatorade powder in different flavors. We consume what's in the bottles, then save the bottles to use again and again for the rest of the trip (using the Gatorade powder), then pitch 'em when the trip is done. The kids love that. And also Crystal Light powdered lemonade... it's very small in size but makes a nice pitcher-full! (It too packs well in those gatorade bottles!)

Take With:
Whole coffee beans and a "Burr Grinder"

Buy there:
Real coffee cream!

Since we stay in one or two bedroom units, we bring non-perishable items. We buy items that can be cooked in the oven or put in the fridge.

What we buy are items that need to be kept cold, along with fruit. We pick-up several frozen pizzas since they can be cooked fast and can be eaten at lunch, dinner or for snacks. :wave2:

You don't bring your toothbrush from home? Do you throw it away when you leave???;)

we use to haul snacks for our stay and by the end of stay we still had the snack to haul back.

then this last trip we went to the store (our first mistake , we went before lunch) and by the end of the stay , we were forced to have lunch in our room on evrything we bought a didnt get a chance to eat.

now i will just bring the family and dh wallet......

i found for us, because we share meals that it is just easy to have a breakfast in the room and eat out for lunch and dinner,
and we are to full to eat snacks in between meals, except our mickey mouse head pretzels, those are tradition.

Oh, I LOVE those mickey pretzels coated with white chocolate!!! I get those every time we're there. Also buy several bags to bring back home.

We fly so we buy everything there -- breakfast items, sandwich fixings and snack items. I never cook. We eat breakfast bars, bagels, or muffins for breakfast. Then we eat in the parks for lunch. Come back to the room for a sandwich, then go back to the parks for the evening.

We're still in the commando mode, so no time to cook.

In another 10-15 years, after we're retired and we drive to WDW, we'll probably take non-perishables with us and buy the perishables when we get there. I'll probably not be so "commando" then and want to cook more.

We bring tea bags (decaf) and sugar/sweet & low.
And now I have to bring little packets of Guldens mustard because they have changed all the mustard to that icky yellow stuff! (Buying a jar at Publix is too wasteful for just a week.) [To all of you who are brown mustard afficionados they do have Guldens in packets at Rosie's near RNRC in the studios. Hee Hee I take a few extra and carry them with me so that I can use them when I feel the need at other restaurants. I know that most of the country uses that yellow stuff "shudder" but I want to know why they can't offer both?] Oh my gosh, I just realized that I'm on the Magic in September and they probably don't have Guldens either! Just that yellow stuff! What will I do? (And this from a woman who doesn't use all that much mustard.)

:upsidedow :headache: :sad2: :rotfl:
Now that I have gone way off topic. We buy everything else. Usually one or two trips to Publix for breakfast things cereal, milk, english muffins, (I bring little tiny jars of jam), snack things, lunch items, green salad fixings and on our first night one of those chicken dinner combos-a whole chicken, 2 "salads/ sides", and those yummy Hawaiian rolls. We are very good at 'making' a dinner or lunch from our 'doggie' bags. Just reheat and share. :wave2:
