Hi! Just wondering what others bring of their own to the hotel to use instead of using the hotels? We are staying at CSR in April, unless a standard view at the Contemporary opens up. I am bringing our own pillows, mainly because we are driving and will use them in the car, but also because I would rather use my own. I've even considered bringing our own blankets. Am i just being paranoid? What do you bring?

From here on I will be bring my own sheets, blankets and pillows.

Also bring your own cups (they don't use plastic one at CSR only glass).

I also bring flip flops to wear around the room. Have fun!!

I would bring plastic cups. After our last stay at BWI, I don't think I would drink out of one of the glasses again.

Wow! Great, fast responses! I will be bringing:

Pillows
Sheets?
Blanket
Flip flops--- great idea!
Plastic cups- Would have not thought of this
Coffee
Tea

Any other great ideas? As if I don't have enough to pack in our car! LOL!
Really paranoid question here- do they make any sprays or anything to kill bed bugs? Not like a bug bomb (that would be really paranoid! LOL) but like Febreeze or Lysol? I will definitely give the room a look over before we unpack!

-A pillow and a sheet top my list where ever I go. I pack them in my carry on.

-I also use the flips flops when showering to get back to my bed at night. People can track all kinds of gross stuff in on their shoes, so we take our shoes off when we get in the room and try not walk all over the carpet.

-Pop up hamper to stow dirty clothes

-We also bring a little air freshener for the bathroom  ;)

I can't sleep without "my" pillow so I always pack that. If we are staying at our DVC resorts then I bring my own bathsheet towels. I like them better than regular towels and with a washer and dryer I only need to bring one for me and one for hubby so they don't take up too much room

Bath and Body Anti-bacterial soap
Bath and Body room air freshener
Shampoo

As for coffee I cheat and buy the Mickey coffee filter packs they sell at the YC gift store.

No. The only thing that will kill bedbugs you need a license to buy. Only professional exterminators can buy it.

Google bedbugs, search for the signs they list. Do NOT put your luggage on the bed or floor until you do, if you are that worried.

[I am, luggage will stay in the car until after I do the check with the flashlight]

Remember, to have a good time. :thumbsup2

The only thing I can think of is face soap. I'll use everything else in the room. Occasionally, I know in advance that a hotel has really bad shampoo or conditioner, so I'll bring my own. But I can usually even put up with really bad shampoo and conditioner if it's only for a couple days.

I bring my own shampoo and conditioner, and I also pack a nightlight. We also bring our own plastic cups too!

I bring:

1) a couple fleece blankets for the beds
2) Shampoo/conditioner
3) toothpaste
4) ziplock baggies - for the parks so I can keep my digital camera or other valuables in so they don't get wet on water rides:thumbsup2

rain ponchos (from the $ store)
nightlight
bright light bulb (we're staying @ AKL and the rooms are 2 dark for my old eyes)
glow sticks
trading pins for the grandkids
"Sharpies" and autograph books for the grandkids
ziploc sandwich bags to bring munchies for the grandkids

Here's my list.:lmao:
Shampoo/Conditioner
Hair Gel
Hairspray
Deodorant (all)
Q-tips
Soap
Razors (both)
Tooth Brushes (all)
Tooth Paste (both)
Lotion
Face Lotion
Face Wash
Make up wipes
Sun Block
Band Aids/Bacitracin
Hand Sanitizer
Sanitizing Wipes
Bathroom/Sanitizing Spray
Tampons/Pads
Perfume/Cologne
Motrin
Dramamine
Dental Floss Picks
Scope
Trimmer/Scissors
Shaving Cream/Lotion
Brushes/Mirror
Hair Clips
Flat Iron
Night Lights (3)
Dirty Cloths Bags (3)
Zip Loc Bags (Large)
Bug Spray
Tissues/Toilet Paper
Peroxide
3 oz Cups (bathroom)
Plastic Drinking Cups
Glow Sticks

pump soap for the bathroom & kitchen (we're DVC) sinks.

I hate bar soap by the sinks...too messy.

I bring all my own personal care products. My skin is so sensitive that I have to be very careful what I use. I don't want to end up looking like a giant strawberry at Disney! Not good!

I need to ask, why does everyone feel the need to bring their own cups? I know you are not supposed to use the glass ones that they provide, but the also give you plastic ones. And you can always wash out the glass ones they give you.

CoachBagFanatic--you pack your own tp? Seriously? I bring the wet wipes they now make for adult bottoms, but your own tp? Your skin must be veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery sensative!
