My grandma and I have always been really close. She never hesitates to bring me somewhere if I need a ride or do something for me. Lately she has been saying that we don't spend a lot of time together anymore. She has never really traveled. She drove to Florida once years ago to visit family, but that was before WDW was built. LOL. But other than that, she doesn't travel, mainly because her husband doesn't like to travel. The furthest he will go is about 2 hours away to visit his mom (shes 104 years old). Anyways, my family travels to Disney a lot and we have been trying to convince her to come with us. She had the excuse of her dog (the dog was really old and needed pretty constant care), but now that the dog died, she can't use that one. I honestly think she would love WDW if she went, but she says she has no interest in it. She says its "dumb and for little kids. What does she want with a place with a bunch of dumb characters running around" Yes, those are her exact words. Well, I just started working. I have been thinking about taking my grandma on a trip to WDW, just me and her. This won't be for a while, at least a year, probably more like 2, from now. What do yall think? Should I just take her to WDW? Or should I take her on a cruise (everytime I bring up going to WDW, she says that she would like to do a cruise)? Or should I just forget the whole vacation idea and do something else (maybe just take her to lunch or something)? I wanted to do something bigger than just going to lunch, but I really don't want to waste so much money if she wouldn't enjoy it. Just wanted to get your opinions before I say anything to my parents or grandmother about it. I would have to buy the trip and tickets and everything before I tell her that I am taking her somewhere or else she would never agree to go and let me pay for it.
