What do we do with 17 pts?

We banked 17 pts to next year. It looks now like we won't be going to WDW in 2008. A big trip is in the planning stages for 2009. Is there anything that we can do with those 17 pts or are we just going to lose them?

You might be able to rent them for someone to have a one day 1BR or two day studio stay at OKW or AKV during one of the least expensive time frames.
The reservation would have to fit into the 2008 UY but at least you wouldn't lose them. Maybe someone would like to add on a couple of days to some other reservation they have. I don't think you can transfer them so it would have to be a reservation.

Yes, try to rent them out. Many plans fall 5-10 points short so there could be several potential renters out there.

Chris we live too far away for short trips Also dh is a teacher so we can only go when school is out. I really wish Disney had some kind of special rates for teachers. It's kind of a bummer that we can never take advantage of the cheaper seasons.

I had 20-something points that would expire by August 18th. I gave my dad and step-mom a night's stay at the Animal Kingdom Villas. They only live a few hours away from Disney, so it worked out perfectly.

I figure the man deserves a free night at Disney after going through shoulder replacement surgery and a heart attack this year! Go... RELAAAAAX, dad!
