What do they mean by Civic Activities?

I'm filling out some paperwork that asks about my involvement in Civic Activities....what does that mean???? Is it pertaining to school and church activities or does it mean politics??

I would take it to mean volunteer activities, Beth.

I think it could be any of those three things. Basically, I'd consider your "civic activites" to be anything you do to help others not related or friends. For example, if you volunteer at a soup kitchen, belong to a service organization, make blankets for sick kids in the hospital, etc., could all fall into the category of civic activities... unless they have a specific section for things like church activities.

Any kind of community activity--volunteer work, committees, church and school activities, membership in organizations.

Thanks D....volunteer for anything or does it have to be for the city. For example I volunteer to teach at our church and I volunteer (or am volunteered) to work the concession stand at almost every school ballgame.

I'd say write it all down unless you would exceed the space allowed for this. If you have too many, then I'd leave off any that are simpler tasks like working the concession stand.

Both of those would qualify, Beth. It doesn't have to be specifically a city organization, or a governmental one. Anything school/church/community oriented.
