My Step-mom wants a list from me and DH. I hate trying to come up with ideas. I don't "need" anything so that makes it harder. As far as "wants" ????

What are you asking for, maybe I can get ideas this way?

My Dh and I bought each other some china, and I like a couple of gift cards for summer pedicures. Other than that, not much on my list. Maybe some gift cards to restaurants so you can enjoy a dinner out?

I'm not getting anything, we decided Christmas this year will be about the kids and we did Disney this year, so I'm happy with that. But if I were to have a list, this is what would be on it:

My own ipod (kids have one, I'm always last :rolleyes1)
A new blender (old one broke)
A good quality food processer
Some new non-stick cookware
(yes, I like to cook :))
Perfume
Jewelry
A warm fluffy bathrobe
Basin Bath Bombs
Vera Bradley
mani/pedi certificates
and after being self-indulgant, a donation to the Heifer Project in my honor!

All these things are luxuries in my world and would be happy with them!

I hope you can find something you would enjoy to put on your list.
What about: a new camera, DVDs, Yankee Candles, books, CDs, restaurant gift cards, stationary/cards?

I am a Christmas list lover. I always appreciate having ideas from people so that I know what I give them will be enjoyed and liked, not just stuffed in a drawer or returned.

I do have a small Christmas Wish List on my refrigerator. :goodvibes

I especially want a new kitchen fauce, that doesn't leak. I'm so tired of wiping up water around the handles each time it is used.

I would also like Season 2 of "The Big Bang Theory."

And the CD's of Susan Boyle and Adam Lambert.

And a Chia Pet Herb Garden. Seriously.

And Stephen King's "Under the Dome."

Cash and gift cards (stores, restaurants, movie theater) are always good too!

My DH always says giving me cash is no good because I always spend it on the kids and not on myself. I really don't "need" anything either so it has been hard to come up with a list. We were at WDW Nov 28 for my birthday and I think that was gift enough for me.:thumbsup2

I had a hard time coming up with a list this year too. Here's what ended up on it.

the three wise men for my Willow Tree nativity
new brown boots. I got a pair in black and they are SOOO comfortable. Found online where he can order the same style in brown.
a necklace with my daughter's birthstone
new clothes with his alma mater. Mine are worn out/stained
new pepper grinder.

Good luck! My problem is I go through the hassle of making the list and no one gets anything from the list anyways so now I have a list of things I've talked myself into wanting and a pile of stuff I don't really need! :rotfl:

Here's what I'm hoping for
*Target and Kroger gift cards (I LOVE shopping with my coupons and these would enable me to do that!)
*iPod touch (to help entertain the children with the games and such while waiting, giving mommy peace and quiet!)
*Gift card to Walmart or Shutterfly to print picutres (I haven't printed them in almost three years so I'm due to print some considering I take pictures of everything!!)
*Quiet time with friends and family after the holidays - when we're not all stressed out and crazy (coupons for a cook out or game night in the middle of April when there's nothing going on!)
*Steam mop and carpet cleaner (in laws are coming next month and I spend way too much time cleaning!)

That's about it really. I'm like the other mommies who's always last :goodvibes

I have to give my inlaws lists too.

I have asked for new comforter/sheet set for our bed, coffee and tea k cups for the keurig, trouser socks for work, new black dress shoes (mine are pretty close to shot).

White mock turtleneck shirt
patterned cardigan sweater
slippers

I have the same problem - MIL said she really didn't want to get me a gift card again this year and wanted some ideas

Here's all I've come up with so far:
Make your own pretzel kit from Auntie Ann's
Gift certificate for massage
Photo albums
Tudors - seasons 2 & 3
Gone With the Wind DVD set

It just seems like it's harder and harder each year! I'd much rather buy what I want when it's on sale ... it's hard on me knowing someone else bought it and paid much more than I would have :rotfl:

I asked for a cheese board with an attached knife, gift cards, the movie UP, and I think I had a few more things but I can't remember.

But if you don't know what to ask for then gift cards are always a good solution!

Books
Scrapbook tools and supplies
A bulletin board (or the one fixed that I have - LOL)
Leg warmers (need them for the lake)

And if I really wanted to go hog wild with a request, it would be that cassette convertor that plugs into your computer so you can record all of your old cassettes onto CD's..:thumbsup2 Close to a hundred bucks though, so I would never ask anyone for it..:santa:

Now see, C Ann, if I was going hog wild, I would ask for a Kindle or a Nook, but they are kinda pricey, so I'm being good.

My MIL asked for a list this year also...

Disney Gift Cards (so I can return to my happy place)
Disney Monopoly game (not the Pixar one)
Gift cards for pedicure or massage

I've had to rewrite this "list" 3 times because she keeps losing it:confused3 I guess its hard to remember:rolleyes:

I already got mine from dh...a new digi camera, a 46in flatscreen LCD tv (we had to cause our bigscreen took a dump on us), 3 cds I wanted, a digi photo frame and chenille socks (I believe thats what their called lol). I would like a new comforter and sheet set for our bed though.

Oooo, I got this last year from a fundraiser the kids were doing...I haven't done it yet, but I love AA original pretzels. I found a site with copycat recipes and AA pretzels were on it..here's the link if you are interested.

Ok, keep the ideas coming

Gift cards are always nice and I will probably get some but my step-mom likes to shop so I like to give her ideas of things to shop for. So far I came up with a new coffee maker. Mine is on it's last legs so that is a good idea. DH needs a new wallet so I added that for him.

The things I "want" are not in the Christmas present price range (like a new bedroom set or a cruise for this winter. :lmao:).
