what do I say?

Don't get me wrong. A few people on here have been extremely generous to me an giving me gifts. And I SO appreciate it... Thank you!!!

But what do I say to people who just come up to me and ask for free stuff? I tried telling this one girl that I was new, but ended up giving her a clothing item anyways.

Also, when someone asks to trade, do I ask what they want first before I show them what I'm willing to trade?

Please do not feel obligated to give anyone anything for free, or trade. You and you alone get to make that decision. There are many players out there who set out to scam others out of their items, so you should be very careful who you deal with and don't do anything that you don't want to do. Just tell them, "No thank you," Then walk away.

Don't ever feel pressured to give people anything except maybe some advice.

I don't give free stuff out to people who ask for it. Period. Many of those people may be new, but they've learned the easy way of trying to get things. They don't want to work to get what they want. It's not as if they will die if they don't get things they want. A lot of these beggers are also scammers. Working on those tender hearted, generous people or kids they make to feel guilty to get things for free. I always tell these people to go play games and get their daily credits and doing mixes to get credits.

I give things for free when and if I feel like it. You and you alone can choose when and if to give free things away.

A tip, if you find yourself bombarded with trade requests, you can turn that option off. Just look at the bottom left of the screen and see the button that has the bars on it. It's the Options button which controls your trades and sounds options. Then you don't have to worry about unwanted trades and you can either just ignore the beggers or say no or say yes if you want.

Nice to meet you! Thanks for the offer! I'd love 2 tiki fountains. It reminds me of staying at the Polynesian on our first trip to WDW.

I only got about 5 hours of sleep. I woke up when DH left for work. I do have a few things to get done today, but I keep thinking about VMK! LOL I have to study for finals, though. And I have to make a trip up to school to turn in some financial aid paperwork. And I have a research paper due, but hey, playing on line is much more fun and rewarding.

If somebody asks me for free, I say "No, sorry".

If somebody says "I'm poor", I say "You should play some games then. That is what I do to get credits."

If somebody randomly gives me a trade request, I usually say "Yes?" and see what they want. If they put some junk in, you could trade them junk back since sometimes it is just young players who want to try trading.

If it is somebody who puts junk in and then asks for something valuable, then I say "No, sorry". If they persist, I just turn off trading for that person (IGNORE).
