What do I need to have prepared for online check-in?

RE: "Uploading a passport"....what is this? Are you folks taking a photo of your opened passport and uploading it? I'm assuming both the photo page, and the info page?

I haven't cruised since 2018 so I'm starting the catch-up process now (a few months early). Thank you!
Yes, you have to take a picture of your passport and upload it. Reports vary on whether just the photo page or both pages.

Yup! Just take a pic with your phone (photo page only!) and save as a .jpg (.pdf will not work!)
Make sure you get all the coding at the bottom as it will use this to populate the form automatically. Hint - have these and photos of all cruisers before your online check in so you can buzz through!

You can either scan it or take a picture with your cell phone.

Just the photo page, and make sure to capture all the coding on the bottom so the data auto populates.
The separate headshot photo you upload has to be different than your passport photo since they use it for security and may need to compare it to your passport photo.

What if we are cruising without a passport? Will we just need our birth certificate and photos? Do we need photos of our ID's? This is our first cruise and I don't want to mess anything up.

I did my online check in yesterday and when it asked about port transportation, DCL transfer was grayed out even though I have one booked from BCR to the port. Since I had to choose something in order to proceed, I selected private transfer. It gave me a 12:15pm PAT. This is my first DCL cruise. From what I've read, I should get a different PAT based on when my transfer arrives to the port. Can anyone confirm that, based on personal experience? (TIA! The grayed our selection kind of freaked me out)

They system should know you're doing DCL transportation. I'd call DCL or your TA to confirm. What boarding group did you get?

We did DCL transportation yesterday and had a PAT of 12:00 and boarding group 5. The PAT doesn't really matter, they let you in the pretty whenever your bus arrives. The boarding you do have to follow.

Yes, you'll need to upload a picture of your birth certificate.

I did confirm with DCL that they have my transfer, so that was a relief. I was given boarding group 4, around 12:15pm. Is that sounding correct? Thanks for your help!

Yes, that sounds correct! The PAT really doesn't matter, and boarding group 4 is good and is definitely one of the groups usually used for DCL transportation.

I am not sure, but if no one has an answer, what I would do is copy one, then lay it right below the other one to scan into one document. I don’t think you can upload two documents.

When checking in, can I do so for my entire party, or just my cabin?
My husband and I are traveling with our children and their spouses, so have 3 cabins attached to our reservation.
Thanks so much!!

Unless you're going to agree to pay for all their onboard charges with your credit card, you would have to enter all of their credit card info. If they'll be paying for their own charges, I'd let them check themselves in.

Or just put that they'll pay with cash and update their credit card information later.i do that all the time.
