What do I need to have prepared for online check-in?

3-4 hours?? That’s obscene (for our gathering in Alaska last year we waited maybe 10 min. I wouldn’t want to wait much more than that )

That was total time. It seemed reasonable for the number of people on the cruise. It was a sold out last week of March cruise. The lines were 20 mins+ for each princess. They took their time interacting with the children vs rushing.

Did you have to wait in a new 20+ min line for each princess? When we did it, we usually had to wait just on the party in front of us for the next princess - the only real wait was for the first princess.

Maybe we were spoiled, but I wouldn’t want to commit that much of my day to it!

This was waiting individually for 6 princesses because we missed the Royal Gathering due to the iPhone notification one hour past our scheduled time (iPhone time was 10 am but only the app showed a small display that said ship time is 11 am). We were ready at 9 am and went to Cabanas.

Yes, they are pretty much the same.

Regarding the photos, some on this thread have reported luck with other file formats while others have only been able to use JPEG. YMMV.

I also think some headshots have been accepted if the person was wearing glasses, as long as there was no glare and you could see their eyes clearly. Again, YMMV.

But overall, what's required has not changed from that post.

We were told by DCL our check in issues were because of Iphones don't jive with their system as good as Android. That's what they told us.
Wifes Galaxy works much better, less fussy than my Iphone.
So if you have an Iphone and it's grouchy,, maybe this is why.

I never explored it further,, just rolled with what they told us.

I'm curious about check in experience for sailings from Southampton - I am Gold CC and wondered what PAT's were like when checking in? When I did the cruise to nowhere in 2021 we walked straight through the Gold line at the port while there were long lines for first timers and silver!

Also we are doing B2B and I wasn't sure whether you need to check in for both or do they carry over your details?

I can't speak to Southampton specifically. I wouldn't use the 'cruise to nowhere' as a guide for what experiences would be now, though. Those sailings were quite empty; ships are sailing much more full now.

You will need to check in for both legs of your B2B. However, don't worry about an early PAT for the second leg, as your boarding will be handled with the other B2B (common practice is to select a 'late' PAT for the second leg since it doesn't matter on a B2B, which keeps an earlier slot open for non-B2B cruisers).

There is no signature page that you need to print, sign, and upload as part of the process. The only things you need to upload during online check in are your 'ID' photos and your proof of citizenship (passport or birth certificate).

For those that have done this recently... a few years ago (i know things change!) i was able to bypass most if not all personal info and get right to selecting a PAT... then i would go back and populate required fields. Is this still possible? Would like to grab an early PAT. TIA

You cannot do this anymore. You have to go through all the steps before you can submit a PAT. You'll have to upload pictures and passport/citizenship info for each person. You can put cash for the onboard account and put driving to port to save time (you can go back and update both later). But you won't be able to just skip through everything and go right to PAT, you'll have to enter/do at least something for each step.
