Hello everyone,
Let me just say that our very first Disney trip is less than 2 months away and I think I am more excited than my 3 yr old daughter! :teeth: We have MVMCP set for Fri., Dec 9th. I was so excited to have gotten it, mostly for my DD. But last night we were discussing the trip, and DH says, "I don't think we should do the Christmas party thing". He went on to say he's heard from co-workers at his job that it's a waste of time, you can't ride anything bexause of the crowds, and it's basically just to crowded to enjoy anything. :confused3 He wants us to forget about the tickets and try to get an Illuminations or Wishes cruise that night instead. But that's just more money, on top of the money we wouldn't get back from not using the tickets for the party! Is it really not worth it?? I'm ready to just go with my DD anyway, and leave him at POP by himself that night!

I don't think the tickets are refundable - so you're just throwing money away? :)

If we take every negative review to heart on every single ride/event/resort/restaurant you read/hear about WDW, your husband might as well stay home!

For every negative comment about something, you can find another equally strong postive comment. Vice versa is true.

I say try everything at least once. Don't get your expectation up. Go and enjoy the vacation. And go with the flow.

You said you have a 3 years old child. Then you're going to WDW for the kid. That's what we're doing, doing the World through our kids' eyes. I am sure the kid will love it. I sure hope ours will with our MVMCP night!

I have been to MVMCP and 4 days before Christmas at that. The crowds were very very manageable and we got to do everything we wanted to do. It was me, hubby and a 5-year-old.
You guys will be fine and you will have a great time.

This will be our third time at MVMCP. We always have a great time, but that is us. It can get crowded, but the trick is to sleep in late that day, ride the rides during the first parade and watch the second parade if your 3 year old can stay awake that long. ;)

This year we will have our 3 year old niece with us and I can't wait to see the look on her face.

He's on CRACK! :) LOL

Seriously, though - it was our first trip and we went to MVMCP on day one.
I was in TEARS watching our children's - see - now I"m all teary-eyed again - watching our children's faces just LIGHT UP seeing Santa, and the reindeer, and all the amazing Magic - SNOW on Main Street - Cookies and Cocoa - having their picture taken by an elf - SOOO much fun!!!

We went the first week of December and it wasn't crowded at all. But, totally magical - and on a much more personal level. :)

Daddy went to the Belle's storytelling thing and got to dress up as the Beast, too - they still talk about that :)
