I'm leaving Oct. 17 (yay!!) any suggestions as to what I should be doing now? When DH and I first planned this trip back in Feb. I had lists and lists and lists, and of course most of my planning I had to leave until our trip was a little closer. Well, now that it is I feel lost! I feel like I don't know where to begin, I got a packing list started, and all our adr are made... everythings booked through AAA so don't have my tickets or anything to ogle at. I feel I'm in that in between stage now. Most of my disney crazy happy feeling comes from planning, and my brains fumbling about what to plan! Right now I'm spending all my free time on this site trying to pick up any tips I've missed. Any ideas? Thanks all!!

Good question. I'm at the "inbetween" period also I guess. I've got some of my packing done, everythings set. I could leave now. :p

Now I just have to wait til next weekend to really get down and get all my snacks/last minute things bought.

Sighhhh, I feel so bored doing nothing.

I know the feeling!!!;)
I am going 3 days after you and I am itching to do SOMETHING!!!!
Flights are booked, seats are confirmed.
Vacation home is paid in full.
Rental Car is confirmed.
ADR's have been made since April (and CRT is paid for).
My swiped LGMH have been converted into luggae tags.
I bit the bullet on the ulgy Crocs I had been boycotting for so long and bought not 1, but 2 in the Athens style.
I am in Canada so I bought our version of the Baggalini!
I bought matching Disney store T's for our entire family (the is DH, ME & 4 daughters) so we would match for each park day...one day the girls are all in purple Tink shirts, we are in deeper purple shirts...they next we are in red and they are in red minnie mouse shirts, etc.
Except for our CRT meal for which I have their Princess dresses & tiaras ready!
I have our passports, excel spreadsheet of our daily activities and confirmations numbers already in my travel purse along with American Money which I converted.
I raided the dollar store and have disposable ponchos and activities bags made up for the kids on the plane.
I had my hubby bring the luggage up from the storage room!
I am also "stealing" my children's clothes each time I do laundry they are "missing" things as this is a "Surprise" trip so I muct pack in secret!

It's all done so here I sit......it's 11:30 I have a 2 month old who has been asleep since 9...so I should be sleeping when she sleeps but no ........I have a slight DISboard obsession that has me here!!:confused3

Lol I know what you mean about the crocs, they are sooo ugly but I think they will be great for the parks. I'm buying the prima style in a few colors, I still have to sell my hubby on a pair of the mens since he thinks they look silly. Probably some obvious ideas, but you never know.... did you order the free customized maps disney.com offers? Also they have calenders you can print for free with whatever characters you'd like. I printed a few sets (one for adr, one for parks and hours, etc.) Oh I hate this stage of just waiting....:rolleyes1

I am in Canada so they won't send the customized maps here....they really should!!!!:sad2:

But, I am going to check out the calendars!

I have revisited the planning websites :surfweb: I subscribe too today and rewrote my packing list and guess what I did this afternoon.....crazy me.........I PACKED!!!!!:woohoo:

With my newborn watching and my 2 other little ones playing Barbies I managed to pack one suitcase with everything for the 12, 4 & 3 year olds!!! It makes me feel so much better to know I have done something for the trip today!!!I even put my LGMH laminated luggage tag on it!!!! WOOHOO!!!

We are just north of Toronto and it's been getting cooler in the mornings so I just pray we don't get a warm front and they all wonder where thier shorts and swimsuits are.:rolleyes1

I can't pack for hubby, the baby or I yet because he only has a couple pairs of shorts he loves. I refuse to buy "fat clothes" and since baby is only 2 months old, I don't fit into anything so I am waiting to see if the disney "magic" helps my @ss!!:lmao: And baby is growing so much, she will be 4 months old when we go but will she wear 3 month or 6 month sizes??? OH the dilemna.......poor us....going to disney and I can only pack 43 days ahead for the kids.....:rotfl: ....I am such a dork sometimes!!!

How's your wedding plans going?

Okay, I found something I can do. I'm making a list of little last minute things I know I'll forget if I don't write it down. Things I'll need that last day like...my hairbrush, my facecream. Little things I know I'll forget.

I'm a list-making gal!

So I actually got married 9/06 (next weekend will be our one year anniversary) but we didn't go on a honeymoon because I started cos school right away, so this is our honeymoon/1 yr anniversary? I guess lol...
It must be so hard to keep such a huge secret! It would drive me crazy! But it will be so worth it to see their faces. You should have a camera ready to save their expressions!!!

Ooooh good idea! I too am a list-maker/planaholic.. you know, going over packing lists I've made, I always forget the same things for some reason... contact lenses/glasses, chapstick, (always remember the lipstick though for some reason lol) extra extra batteries, and a laundry stick or sheets for stains... always the same things I forget without fail.

Doesn't packing make you feel better? I feel like it makes the trip closer or something... I know I'm crazy.. ::yes::
