I did not know where to find out info, so I thought I would ask here. O.k. last night my FIL and MIL came over to visit and they gave us a timeshare, It is with Sunterra (6500 points)and it is affiliated with II. We are  Disney nuts  So what are the chances of trading for a stay at one of the DVC? I am just starting to read all the info about points and trading. If anyone has traded before let me know the info. Thanks

One can trade Sunterra points through II into DVC for Jan, early Feb, May, Sept and early Dec fairly easily for a studio or 1 BR. But you can also use the points at other Sunterra options as well.

Thanks for the Quick reply. I know I can use them with sunterra But I was just curious if someone has traded before and how the points work in the II system. We were caught off gaurd with the gift ;but we got so excited when we found out we could trade for DVC.

You should go on TUG to find out a lot more about Sunterra than I know. There are also a couple of DVC members that also own Sunterra, maybe they will chime in or contact you personally. At least it is a good option you can actually use if you are willing to put a little effort into learning their system.
