The little winky-smiley means "that was a joke."What about those of us who are DVC members but use relative's RCI points to exchange into DVC for a trip?
But, like all jokes, there is a tinge of truth to it. Some folks equate the money you spend to be there with your "class", and so someone who exchanges in on a cheap timeshare must necessarily be lower on the totem pole.
But, if you are there on an exchange, no one ever needs to know it unless you bring it up. The front desk will know, because they handle the $95 inbound fee, but they'll have no idea how much you paid vs. how much anyone else did---again, unless you bring it up. And, I'd never do that, because I'm one of those people who lumps "what did it cost" as a conversation topic in with religion and politics, *especially* on vacation.
) my membership. Renters are higher on the totem pole than financed owners.
in the great "world of DVC membership'.
and check out my banner...not bad for a guy who was a lowly "renter" last year... in case anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas this year, I wear a an AKV size large...Enjoy you trip OP, it may just change your life.....it did for me....
