I will be meeting, in person, an American DISer this Fall in Disney World and I would love to bring her a basket full of Canadian goodies. The only 2 items I can think of so far would be Coffee Crisp chocolate bars and maple candies. Can you think of anything else? Thanks for all your suggestions! :goodvibes

Why not a little bottle of icewine? That is truly Canadian! :wave2:

Shreddies, poutine sauce, cheese curds, maple syrup, Caesar mix, 222's, Harveys gift card, Tim Hortons coffee, map comparing the size of Texas to all provinces Quebec west, World Atlas, tuque, toboggan, eavestrough, metric handbook, dictionary on how to spell doughnut, harbour, neighbour, labour etc, smarties, aero, caramilk, loonies, toonies, Buckleys cough syrup & Cold FX.

I know that some of the products are available in the states such as Tim Hortons coffee & maple syrup, but the products above are synonymous with Canada.

Real and for serious locally made Maple Syrup! It's a real treat especially for those from the deep south!

Licorice Allsorts candies, Tetley tea and MacIntosh Toffee :goodvibes

How about 'Canadian' Smarties.

In Canada these are Smarties:

In the U.S., these are Smarties :

I'm from the US, but my son loves Aero bars, we went to Niagara Falls for spring break and "stocked up"!

Cadbury chocolate bars (which seem to be in high demand at the UK pavilion at Epcot). Those are always on sale at our local London Drugs :goodvibes

also from the US, my son loves aeros AND smarties!

when my friends come here I make a gift basket w/ syrup and goodies and add the glass maple leaf syrup bottles w/ the cork stopper (ours is gold) I think I bought them at pier one for about $2

Butter tarts!

When my sons wanted to visit Washington DC last year, they stayed with a friend of mine and I sent a Canada gift basket with them for her family (with many of the items listed). The butter tarts were the favourite, I think.

I also sent along some magazines: Canadian Living, Toronto Life and MacLeans. They were also a hit.

After we were "hosted" by a Disney CM last fall, I sent a little thank you gift by mail, including a stuffed moose and a couple of Roots T-shirts for our hosts two young boys.

Yes Smarties, Aero bars and even our Kit Kat bars are better and different then theirs.

They can't get peanut free granola bars down there either if this person has a nut allergy. We have alot of peanut free stuff that they don't have.

When I used to live & work in Sarnia, I used to have a lot of Americans come up and buy JuJubes. Apparently they couldn't find them down there (or at least theirs are not the same as ours.)

They also used to stock up on Dill Pickle and Ketchup chips.
