What Disneyland 50th souvenir are you absolutely, positively buying?

Just wondering this. My Disneyland vacation is 66 days away. I am curious as to what the most sought after souvenirs are.

Are they the "gold mouse ears"? Perhaps they are the "gold autograph books'?

Maybe a "retro t-shirt"? Or perhaps a giant wall map of Disneyland?

What is that one souvenir that you most surely will want to buy, when you are at Disneyland for the 50th?

We are headed to DL on Friday for 5 days. I'm thinking we need a gold antannae ball and some gold Mickey ears plus anything else that catches my eye!

I've already bought 50th stuff. I have my gold ears, gold 50th name badge, a 50th lisense plate frame, 50th scrapbook, the LE 6 cd set "The Musical History of Disneyland", the book Disneyland: Then, Now and Forever, and a coule of pins. I wouldn't be suprised to buy more, but hopefully I can keep it down to just pins and other small ticket items.

We have the Gold Mickey Ears, Gold Glitter Antenna Ball, Mickey 50th Gold Ears pin, 50th Magnet w/the Fab Four, and the exclusive Visa Card 50th pin- but will be looking for the Tink 50th Gold Ears pin when I go to Grad Nite with my students!! Might also pick up the 50th autograph book for my DD to use when we cruise!

Ooooooo, the now and then book sounds fun!! What kind of scrap books do they have? Or do you mean like a photo book?

The Then and Now boof is great--really interesting to see all of the pics of old attractions.

The scrapbooks are basically like large Disney style photo albums, but instead of 4x6 pockets they have 10x10 sheet protectors with papers in them and you can put in pics, stickers, and other memorabilia. They sell kits to go with them with more pages, stickers and paper frames, plus they sell punches, special scissors and eyelets.

There are 2-3 12 x 12 books that I saw last week- One had the Happiest Homecoming Logo, One had the closeup of the castle artwork and I think they had the basic year one and or a Princess one

FYI - the "disneyland - now, then & forever" were selling quickly and last saturday about 2:30 they were almost gone. From what the Cms were saying, their stock was almost gone but I don't know if that was for just that day or what.

If you want it, you might want to pick it up if you see it. It is a beautiful book.

My scrapbook is different (I saw that one when someone else was buying it at the checkstand in the China Closet). Mine is blue and also has the castle with it's 50th decorations on it (not such a close-up) and has a bunch of characters on it. Tink is flying over the castle and it has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Chip & Dale, Pluto, Daisy, Aurora, Snow White, Happy, Dopey, Pinocchio, Geppeto, Ariel and Prince Eric, Belle and Beast, Alice, Simba, Pumbaa, and Peter Pan. It has the 50th logo and says "Happiest Homecoming on Earth" on it.

Got the kids the golden ears. But I got my eye on those dessert plates. They're cool. Can't do it this time though...I've really overspent on this trip. I'll have to budget for them on my Christmas trip.

I just got back and I got so excited when I walked into the first store on my trip and saw all the 50th stuff, especially the retro. I had such a hard time, I wanted to buy everything. The most important of my purchases were the gold mouse ears, afew 50th pins, the new official cd and the then and now book. There was lots more, but probably too much to mention.

I forgot about the Map- I did get the new 50th map.. Its pretty similar to the 45th though but more colorful

My DH was just showing me pics of all sorts of neat reproductions and thing-o-ma-gigs- He wants something from the Haunted Mansion, pins, and the Original Teki Room CM shirt (very retro and cool in an ugly sort of way).

I want the reproduction of the original park map, but I doubt I will when I see the price. I will get a name badge for everyone and the gold ears are a must. I like the light teal (tealish) colored tee shirt too.

What I wish I could find is a basic baseball cap with the traditional Mickey image and the word Disnyland in the traditional font in navy blue. I saw this hat in tan, but my DH gets dirty so tan is not a good pick for him... I might get him the 'Grumpy' hat...
