Our kitten is Princess Jasmine... It fits her well--she's got a bit of "bite" to her personality, just like her namesake!

My darling Maine Coon was named Dinah after Alice's cat. We just lost her in 2013, but she lived a grand 21 years.

I'm going to sound nuts, but my husband likes fish. We have a tank filled with various Disney characters names such as Chum (the rainbow shark), Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Shir Khan (the tiger barbs), Zazu the red and blue betta, and Olaf the albino crawfish.

I recently got a gerbil that we tritely named Rat-a-tella. It doubles as a reference to Ratatouille and Cinderella as I usually call her Ella.

My Mum had a cat named Tinkerbell when she was a teenager and then first moved out of home.

We had a fish named Nemo. He wasn't a clownfish, just an orange and white striped goldfish. We actually got him before the movie came out and he'd gone through a few names, but none of them stuck. Then we saw a news story about people desperately trying to buy clownfish for their kids and realised we already had a Nemo!

This is such a great thread...When I was younger, I had a tabby cat named Belle (from Beauty and the Beast) because for one, that is my favorite Disney movie and two, the name just fit her. We too are planning on getting our family a puppy sometime later this year (our beloved Italian Greyhound, they are the smallest of the Greyhound family and was named Harley Davidson but we called him Harley for short, passed away in October) (NOTE: we are planning on getting another Italian Greyhound) and we have a few names that we really like that are of course Disney related....1) Loki (from Thor...our family is huge into the Marvel movies and he is our favorite Marvel villain) 2) Yoda 3) Koda (Brother Bear).

I chose Olaf for my puppy, I told my bf he HAD to name his puppy a Disney name as well and he chose Dory. I wanted him to choose Tiger Lily he took forever to choose.

Our cat is named Epcot. My husband says it because being around his is a "Ride". The name has really fit though.

We have promised my DD a puppy this spring, and my husband wants a kitten at the same time. DD wants a girl puppy and to name her Minnie. I told her we need to wait until we actually have the animals to name them, but I have a feeling if we get a female, Minnie it will be.

My previous cat who passed in 2014 was named Jack. We actually got him the summer after my first trip to Disneyland. I was in my TNBC phase at that point, so he was unofficially named after The Pumpkin King (he was orange).

We had a cat who just showed up at our house and didn't leave when we were younger, so we kept him and named him Tigger.

And my little girl kitty now is named Hannah but NOT because of Hannah Montana, but I do sometimes call her that.


Here I was thinking I'd have little to contribute to this thread and the more I think back, the more I realize we named most of our pets something Disney-related
