I have probably 10 different #s for Disney Reservations. I have Disney CRO, Disney Travel Comp, Disney Destinations, and Disney Magic and so on and on listed on my contacts. I know Disney has different call centers in different locations and could this be why we each get such a different response and information when we call.

So what Disney # do you call and do you get pins or helpful CM's telling you that you have a pin when you call.

Thanks for your help. I just called 1-407-939-6244 and had to answer a bunch of questions to be put on hold for 6 min. I hung up and will try another number.

I have all of these numbers !! My question is there are so many numbers and each number can be a different call center. my question is what number do you call and do you get pins, or CM's that are "very" helpful.

You know there are always people that call and they are told, " you have a pin" or " discounts are soon" and then I call and CM has no idea of what you are talking about. I have gotten some very nice cast members but I do not get offered pins and have never gotten any.

I call bounceback number since they have my ressie now but I have called the number you gave plus....

There isn't a magic number where CMs will give you pins. You either have a pin or you don't. No matter what number you call, they can check your information and let you know if there's a pin attached. If there isn't one attached, you're going to be told no...even if someone here gives you a number that they called and they were told yes. Different call centers still work under the same database. Think of it as calling to check on your ressie. It's not as if one call center would have the ressie info but another call center wouldn't have access to that at all. Some people here have gotten lucky and have had pins attached, which is why they are told by CMs that they do.

As far as CMs informing guests about possible upcoming promotions, there isn't a magic number for that either. Some CMs seem to be more knowledgeable, but just go ahead and read through these threads and you'll see that CMs seem to contradict themselves a heck of a lot. Just with this potential FD promotion alone, some members here have been told yes it's on the way, others have been told they have no idea, and still others have been told it's not happening at all. Take what they say with a grain of salt and wait until it's actually a confirmed release. That's the only guaranteed way of knowing the truth.

I call 407-824-8000 and I have to answer a MILLION questions.
I ask if a pin is attached, Sometimes I get lucky and sometimes I don't.

Ok, now I'm totally confused! :confused3 Which number is the fastest to get thru on the morning that (hopefully) FD is released? What one do you use?

This is also a good question. I am on bounceback but I remember calling when a code has been released and others are posting their deals and it would take me calling a couple of numbers before I could get someone to add the code to my ressie.

Disney has 2 primary call centers, one in Orlando and the other in Tampa. There are also some that work from their homes - I reached a lady in Kentucky one year! Since WDW is the single largest on-site employer in the entire country, they go through a LOT of employees.

All employees attend intensive training, but as in any job, experience is the best teacher. I have gained a LOT of knowledge through the years by discussing particular things when I get a CM that seems to have a bit of 'tenure' if you will. Still, there is a lot of info that doesn't get to everyone. One thing I can tell you is that they are trained not to volunteer information but to answer it when asked!

Their calls are often monitored or taped and we certainly wouldn't want them to loose their jobs. Try asking "Would you mind checking to see if there are any pins attached to my name - or address - or phone number?" or any other specific question you may have - just ASK. I imagine for those who have been told they have pins, there may have been some discussion during their call that prompted the CM response such as "wish we could afford to stay in a moderate this year; free dining would sure be nice if it were offered" that I believe are 'qualifier' statements to which CM's may if a pin is attached.

Your best bet overall would be to work with an experienced Disney Travel Agent. You can tell them your wants/needs and then sit back while they do the work. :wizard:

As for phone numbers, you name it and Disney has a number: WDW-STAY; WDW-DINE; WDW-PLAY; WDW-TOUR; WDW-GOLF; WDW-PLAN (usually for Grand Gatherings)

If you call and get the 'automated' voice, trying saying 'representative' and see if you can get past at least SOME of the specifier information.

When you get through, if you feel your CM is not experienced or would like a better answer, very nicely ask if there is a supervisor or more experienced CM they could ask/clarify with? They have a tough job to do and we don't want to insult them or make it any more difficult, but kindness is always appreciated. :rolleyes1

If you still aren't happy or you didn't get your answers, say a polite good-bye, then call back. Chances of getting that person again are slim (but I have had it happen) though you will have to start all over with the voice prompt, etc.

Using various forums such as this one is also a good plan since there are a multitude of people here with a variety of experience.

Hang in there - the end result is a visit to WDW after all! No matter how much I stress doing the planning, it always seems to work out well when I'm there! :cheer2:

Calling into to Disney is brutal...you spend 5 minutes answering stupid questions and then still be put on hold...no 1 800 number anymore and after all that they ask you to stay on the line for a survey. Disney you dont need to know my name and spelling for me to ask a question.

AFAIK, they never had a 1800 number. Only cruises and magical express.

Reason is simple. They can use the same number worldwide. 800 numbers are useful to attract business by having the end user not having to pay for long distance charges. They simply don't need this.

Why do they need all that information about your name and how many times you traveled (even though it's redundant) is for marketing purposes.

Actually they did have an 800 number, it just wasn't advertised. But I definitely used it in the past...a few years ago. Perhaps it's no longer in existence, but I promise it did exist at one point.

ETA: I just did a disboards search for "Disney 800 number" and did find it. It was still operating in 2006, judging by the posts...but I found posts dated 2007 that said it's no longer in service. I had a feeling that was the case since no one talked about it anymore, but I knew there was a working 800 number at one point.
