What discounts (if any) available for tickets?

Okay, I've found all the ticket prices. The chart on these boards is very helpful on putting all the choices into one place. The one thing I cannot seem to find is a list/description of what discounts are available on ticket media. It used to be that I could get a discount with the old Magic Kingdom card, but it doesn't look like that exists any more.

So my question is, given membership in the Disney Club, DVC and AAA, do any of these offer discounts off of ticket prices or is early purchase the only way of saving nowadays?

there is currently still a Disney Club and AAA discount on tickets. I am pretty sure that they are only applicable to advance purchases though. (an even greater discount that the advance purchase price if not using the Disney Club or AAA.)

hopefully others will chime in here with more exact info.

I know that the Disney Club still gets a discount on tickets. I just recently used mine to purchase tickets for my whole family at our local Disney Store. You can only put 6 on each transaction. The sticker is that this is the last year for the Disney Club. I believe that Dec. 2002 was the last chance to join or renew. Hope this has been a little helpful.

Thanks for the replies. I checked the Disney Club website and couldn't find anything about discounts. Glad to know they still exist.

Below is the link to the place we bought our tix the last 2 trips, and we plan on using them for Spring of 2004. If anyone can find a 7 Day Hopper Plus for less than $305.95, please let me know about it. This is the total price, with a $7 per order shipping charge. Since there will be at least 7 adults in or party next year we'll save the difference between 2372.65 and 2141.65, $231.

there is a post on the budget board about the cheapest places to purchase hopper passes. lots of sites listed.

personally i will be ordering the 7 day hopper pluses from paramount international travel ( www.gopitravel.com ) the adult ticket is $300 the child is $244 and there is a shipping charge of $15 per order. BUT you get a free character breakfast with each 7 day hopper you order.

...I have researched for the best prices, and for the 7 day PHP, it would definitely be in your best interest to use paramount. If you order all of the tickets at once, it would basically be $302. each, AND you get the free character breakfast! ;)

The shipping may seem high for the total order, but they use UPS. And, divided by 7 pp, only $2. each!

Another suggestion, if you are driving, you may want to purchase 1 or 2 tickets through AAA, to get their parking passes! I think that we are going to use this route in December (1 from AAA, and the rest from paramount...)

Good luck! :)

In addition to the other outlets mentioned, DVC offers a 10% discount on the Unlimited Park Hopper passes (length of stay). If you're going to use this pass to its full extent (visit one of the main parks each day of your trip, multiple visits to water parks and/or Disney Quest planned), this is the way to go. Unless I'm missing a great deal somewhere, you won't find a ticket discount that equates to 10% off of the Disney base price.

You don't have to purchase the tickets in advance--they will apply the discount at check-in and record them on your room key. Additionally they should let you drop your OR departure day from the length-of-stay pass, if you are arriving late or leaving early. Effectively, you don't pay for one of those two days.

Again, if you're going to use the pass to its full extent, it's the best deal. But if you are planning visits to Universal or other attractions in Orlando which would keep you out of the Disney parks for a day or more, the UPH value is gone. If you happen to get sick and are stuck in your hotel for a day, you still pay for that day.

Bill, Connections has the 7-day Hopper Plus for $294.27/each. Though some people have had bad experiences with them, I have nothing but good things to say about their program. You have to join either for a month trial @ $1.00 or for a year @ $79.95(if you don't cancel within the 1st month). They will also save you $$$ on meals with their vouchers.

Thanks, jaygatz, I didn't actually expect anyone to come up with a better deal! I'll check this out because we not only have 7 passes to get but we've got to eat for 8 days, too.

I've also used them, and enjoyed the savings!! Just be very careful, they are having tremendous problems & complaints against their business practices, per Mousesavers!
