What dinner seating should I get??

Hi all,

Traveling with a 9 and 6 yr old, what dinner seating should I get? What time is the early and late seating? I don't want to be rushed to dress for dinner yet I don't want my kids to starve as well. Please help!!!

Take early, you an ALWAYS move to late. If you decide once you get on the ship that you want to change, you will be able to do that. There will be a LONG list of people with late hoping to move to early.

BTW, the Kids Club/Lab have activities during late dinner that kids during that seating will miss (but they are usually not the 'main' activities).

Early dining also referred to as "main" dining is 6:00 PM and is considerably more popular than late dining which is 8:30 PM.

Many parents will choose main dining because dinner lasts on average an hour and a half and eating until 10:00 PM at night doesn't bode well with some children, but it is clearly an individual choice.

The shows are split like dinner so if you go to main dining then you will see a late show. I prefer main dining because my little one gets too cranky to sit at the table for late dinner and if she falls asleep at a show it is not that big a deal.

Westjones is correct though...since early (main) is so much more popular than late you could easily book early and switch, but it isn't always so easy to do the opposite.

I don't know when pirate night will be (but it will be after the late seating is over, probably around 10:30 or 11:00 pm).

To change dining, once you are on the ship, you can go to one of the bars (the largest one) and you can change it. They will give you information at the terminal. Believe me though, if you have MAIN seating and want to change to LATE seating, you won't have to rush to make the change. There will be plenty of people wanting to change with you if that is what you decide.
