We are leaving tomorrow night to spend time in Orlando and then cruise on Friday for our first cruise ever (3 day Dream). Just wondering what, if anything you might have forgot to bring? I got the obvious like docs, meds. Anything else? Thanks for the help. Y'all are so wonderful and I will try and do a trip report to help in anyway I can.

While there were somethings that didn't make the trip on various occasions the only one that stands out was the time I forgot the Imodium. :rolleyes1

My husband forgot his dress shirt. He had it hanging outside the suitcase to reduce the wrinkling time and forgot to pack it the morning of the cruise. He ended up wearing slacks and a collared golf shirt for formal night which was OK but I would have preferred him in a shirt and tie for photos :)

I forgot an entire piece of luggage. The trip was a surprise for our girls so I would pack a suitcase when they weren't home and then hide it. I placed our hanging garment bag in our coat closet and completely forgot it. I realized it when we pulled up at the dock and I was counting out luggage tags. It had all the girls' dresses...dinner dresses, formal dresses, princess dresses. I was devastated at the time, but it all turned out okay in the end and the girls got to buy new princess dresses in the shops.

Sunscreen! I actually forgot sunscreen. Also, don't forget the DEET given all the warnings. Enjoy!

Deet what brand actually works? I think I tried them all and I get bit up. I have asked in numerous threads no one yet has gave me an answer.

Just off the boat (Dream) yesterday morning! I would suggest small binoculars and water shoes (especially at Serenity Bay). We also brought small bags of local candy for each of our servers and our room steward. they were thrilled. If you're going to WDW first, be wary of the water---it seemed to us that there was a more pronounced sulfur taste than usual. We had a marvelous time (as did our whole party of 10), although getting to Orlando was a "trip", since they closed the airport for an hour while we were en route and then waited nearly an hour on the runway when we finally landed. You'll have a magical time!

I always forget something! It's ranged from chocolate for the Edge Staff (so "had" to eat it upon return), to toothbrush (how?), deodorant, sunscreen.
Sigh...never forget those extra pair of shoes I never use though!

Feminine hygiene items - I packed what I thought was enough and had to pay a small fortune on board for additional supplies when my visit was longer than usual. Now I always overpack these things :oops:

One trip, my boyfriend forgot his dressier clothes and we ended up cancelling Palo reservations because he didn't want to feel out of place. (He probably would have been fine in a polo shirt, but he didn't feel this way).

One thing you might want as a first timer - a small clip on pouch or a lanyard so you can keep your KTTW card with you. We didn't have anything on our first cruise and I felt awkward and paranoid about finding a place to carry mine since I didn't want to tote a purse around everywhere. I hate carrying loose cards in my pockets.

My wife's bras!!! We shared a bag once, (never again), she packed before me, so when I went to pack, I pulled out her bras do I didn't squish them and kind of forgot to put them back in before we left. I got very good at hand washing bras that trip. The good news was, she had plenty of clean bras when we came home!

A scissors to remove tags from all the souvenirs our kids want!

And I wish I had packed swim shoes/sandals for myself. This was my 11th or 12th cruise and I've never experienced such a slippery pool deck as I did on the Fantasy. Can't tell you how many folks we saw fall, including myself (down the stairs...ouch!).

I forgot to pack my sons dress shoes when we sailed on Norwegian Cruise which has a formal night. My son ended up wearing a slacks, a shirt and tie and converse sneakers. It fine but of course I was stressed out about it. When we sail on the Disney in September I am making a list and will check it a zillion times. I also forgot to pack activities/books to read while my 2 year old napped each day.

It wasn't a cruise but once I forgot to pack my strapless bra that I needed for a formal gown. Fortunately we were at a local hotel but we didn't have time to run home because we were there for a company event and I was on the planning committee. My parents had to drive to my house, rummage through my underwear drawer and drive my bra to the hotel. They delivered it in a brown paper bag. We still laugh about it...

Honestly? To relax on the cruise... I'm always go go go. ^^;;

I've also forgotten to bring aloe vera for when I get too much sun. I remember the block, but forget about what happens when I get too much sun anyway which seems to happen more than it should given the bucket of block we seem to go through...
