Thanks for the pictures! Those robes look to be the expensive, $100 ones. So we'll be hitting the halloween stores, trying to find an economical one for DD.

Of course she's going to want a Hedwig owl. Are there other owls? Or just that one?

So excited to do some shopping. Maybe I need to set a budget.

I went to the Halloween store and bought the Hermione deluxe licensed costume instead for around $40. Its probably not as nice of quality but I refuse to spend that much money.

Go on ebay and search for "Hermione Deluxe". They have a combo package that sells the deluxe robe, tie, and the cheap, plastic wand for $41 plus shipping. Thats about the best deal you can find on the internet. Otherwise at Party City or Halloween Express the deluxe robe alone retails for around $40 and the tie is another $7 or $8.

The only real difference between the cheaper regular costume robe they sell and the "deluxe" robe is that the deluxe is lined with crimson. Its a little thicker, but still pretty thin, it's all polyester. Probably still too hot to wear for the whole day there, I am just going to slip it on my daughter before we do Ollivander's.

Has anyone bought the Broom? DD was asking if they had a broom and it appears they do for around $35. She wants a wand, broom, owl, etc. I've told her she needs a part time job. LOL. Normally she is happy to spend $25 at WDW. We can't even get one item for that at IOA! I've created a monster!

The definitely had brooms for approximately $35 in most all the Universal stores, even at the airport. They are smaller, plastic and have fiber optics in the ends. Zonko's was fully stocked with Pygmy Puffs today (Labor day). BTW, Hedwig is the softest thing I've ever felt!! and is soooo cute! Oh and you can get the replica wands at the cart near the exit of FJ AND at the Universal store at the exit (Port of Entry), they tell you at Ollivander's that you can only get them there and the cart. The CM at the Uni store said they just got them in!
